Trunks is only watching now, he's has not been useless for the duration of the arc. That's why he's had a bunch of fight's(most of any character in the arc), his own flashback and got to play the hero by allowing Goku and Vegeta to escape.

I do hope he’ll do something against Merged Zamasu, but I’m just disappointed that he didn’t get to fight Black and Zamasu aside from being a punching bag. Instead of pairing Future Zamasu with Goku, It would have been better (in my opinion) if they paired him with Trunks, especially since they should be close to each other when it comes to power.

Goku can be paired with Black along Vegeta. It would be a good development and moment for them to team up against a foe for once. Not to mention, we’ll get to see Goku and Black facing against each other, which is a very shame that it didn’t happen in the manga.

Black was... too much of a dream come true in the anime, can you find ONE and I mean ONE thing thats not great about him? (ok I'm exaggerating here but still) Black is literally too good of an antagonist for DB so he left us with him owning both Goku and Vegeta.

Wha...? How is Black turning out to be a great villain fanficy/fan service? That just means that the anime staff did an excellent job handling his character. I mean, by this logic, Beerus is fan service because he was a great antagonist in BoG. So yeah, I think you’re over-exaggerating there.

Because Black was the only amazing antagonist that you cant hate despite the fcked up shit he's been spouting out of his mouth, never really saw Beerus as a great antagonist, I just couldnt feel Beerus at all because of his reasons for wanting to destroy earth was all because of pudding.

Anyway, the Vegeta thing is a clear ripoff of what Trunks did in Multiverse.

1:Anything goes fan fiction where you just make up a bunch of random stuff.

2: Fanficiton which is to seeded into the series and is to scared to try new thing or introduce new concepts

The spirit sword can still happen. Either with just Goku and Vegeta powering it, or allowing those in other world to contribute somehow. He'll, maybe they'll have the Zamasu leaking into other timelines' thing, allowing other timelines to give their power

But he's introducing new concepts and doing new things with SSG. You just don't like it, so it's now "bad"

Forgive me if i'm being incoherent, I have a very bad flu and can't think very straight but i had a revelation after reading this manga chapter.

I think I just realized why so many people like the manga and I don't. It feels like a fanfiction, Toyotaro tries so hard when writing it to make it "logical" but while being so dead set on it makes it far less logical but he will never notice or try to correct them. The thing that makes Dragonball Dragonball is the countless mistakes and changes made because of laziness and things forgotten. All of these things make stuff happen in the story which was later corrected or retconed and that's how the good parts of the series came to be. I noticed a lot of die hard fans who obsess over the universe like the manga a lot and the conclusion I've come to it that they think "this is how I would write the manga" but most of these people obviously aren't very competent writers which is why it feels like a fan-fiction. There are two types of fan-fiction: fan-fiction that just makes cool stuff for the fun of it and fan-fiction that tries to make "logical" things happen based on their own interpretation of the series. Toyotaro is the latter. Which made me realize i really won't like the story once Toyotaro takes over, he's never going to create anything new it will always be rooted in the series before. He's never going to create Saiyans or Beerus or the completely different multiple universes, It will be stuff rooted in the series like Freezas son or one of the supreme kais from our universe is still alive or Daburas successor or another android. the successor to the Dragonball franchise should never have been someone who knows every little detail about the series because not even Toriyama himself did.

Don't worry, you will find a lot of manga haters here, I'm not one of them. I think the manga has a much better writting and I'm glad it takes some panels to explain things, otherwise we would have to be theorizing about stuff. Battles are better too, it's one of the highlights of Toyotaro, how he draws them. I think that you are right that Toyotaro tries to put more logic than the anime and he does it. Avoids things like the SSRage of Trunks or Black's origin plothole. And, well, the battle where clones of Black started appearing from a hole in the sky or how Trunks learned the Mafuba in less than a minute.

And it's not fan fiction, it's official and with direct implication of Toriyama, who says he is totally fine with Toyotaro's work. I'm really happy too, he is doing a great job. The manga has totally saved the DB Super experience to me, as the anime has been very dissapointing. At least untill the last arc, I'm actually liking the Survival arc in the anime.

If Toyo some day makes his own following to the story, we don't know how he will handle it, you are predicting too much and for the bad. I think he is not Toriyama and will never be, but, if somebody is following his work, I think he is the best we've got. I'd like him following if Toriyama stops.

That's right. It's not that the manga it's a perfect product. It isn't. It's just that the anime it's really poor in both writing and visually. It lacks general quality. Hence the comparitions.

Also Toyotaro would never create Super Saiyan rage or the genki dama sword because he's not that creative. There both too out of bounds of what the story presented thus far for him to even conceive them so they wouldn't be in the manga.

Wait, I'm lost. How is it creative to make a forced Gendikama and a SS form that does not make sense at all? (Its archived by rage, ok, and what, SS1 and 2 are as well)Its as creative as the Blue Kaioken, a rip off of the SS Kaioken of Z anime.

Sadly it is indeed. The only hope is that he somehow weakens/kills Merged Zamasu somehow. But we all know Vegito is coming, so who knows.

Like I said, Black turning out to be an amazing villain is just due to the anime staff doing a great job handling him. I don’t think the intention there is to please the fans. If I write my own story, I would try to make my villain as interesting as I can, too. And yes, there is indeed time where I hated him and wanted Goku to beat the shit out of him (most notably in episode #61).

Beerus is a great antagonist because he’s something refreshing, and has an interesting personality compared to all previous movie antagonists that came before him. Him being angry over something silly is exactly one of the reason why I love him, and overall he’s just an interesting and fun antagonist. But, whether you like him or not is a matter of opinion, I guess.

Zamasu and Trunks aren't close in power at all, Trunks would destroy Zamasu.

I’m sorry, I misspoke. What I meant is that compared to Goku and Zamasu (where the former is leaps and bounds stronger than the latter), Trunks at least, should be much closer in power to Zamasu that Goku is. So, I think pairing them would have been better than Goku, who barely have connection with Future Zamasu in the first place.

Vegeta mastered something in his second training year in the RoSaT, most likely SSG. He figured out how to only use SSB in quick bursts while keeping SSG as his main form.
It's like how Goku fought Jeice and Butta on Namek, where his power only read as 5 and he only raised his power in the instant he attacked [spoiler][/spoiler]

Another thing is the argument between Zamasu and Black. I still don't get why Future Zamasu is the leader if Black was the one who started all the plan. I mean, it's certanly a possible scenario, but it seems off. Of course, I know he isn't the «leader» by the pure definition of the word, but he seems to be the one with more iniciative, while Black despite being the one who stole Goku's body and travelled to another timeline has less iniciative.

OLKv3 I suppose it makes sense, but I trough SSB only had the stamina drain if used twice, so it seems a little unnecesary, unless he has in fact mastered SSG. I like it trough, SSG is always cool.

Well is technically the stronger form to show to cabba, Because I'm pretty sure cabba could obtain that form easily, hence the reason why choose blue instead of showing red, I'm just gonna wait for the full chap, they better explain this
