Could Piccolo absorb Cell?

Piccolo could absorb Namekians to gain a power boost.
However, because Cell is part Namekian can Piccolo absorb him?
I'm talking about Imperfect Cell by the way.
I know the other person has to allow it so let's just say Cell allows it.
So could he do it? And if he could, how strong would he be?

Piccolo has never demonstrated he can absorb powers. So you're outta luck on that one, mate.

I would say no. He has Namekian cells, but that doesn't mean that he can perform Namekian fusion rituals. Just like he can't go Super Saiyan despite being comprised of Saiyan cells. Dr. Gero's intent was to create the perfect warrior that comes with an arsenal or peoples' signature techniques, including Namekian regeneration abilities, but nothing was said of transformations or fusions. I guess in the end, it depends if his DNA or w/e registers as "Namekian enough" to be compatible with Piccolo for fusing, but I'd doubt it since Cell seems to be more heavily loaded on Saiyan steroids than Namekian veggies.

I was referring to his Namekian "Fusion" technique. Which I would prefer in all honesty to call absorption over fusion.

That seems fair enough. Cell is honestly more saiyan than he is Namekian probably because of all the Saiyans running around the place and only one Namek.

When discussing Cell one thing that always crops up is something like this.

Some people are of the mind set that Cell can do everything his genetic forbears could. However something I and others point out is that Cell is not a pure mix DNA clone/being like say Marvel's Super Skrull. If Cell was, he look like a horrific blend of saiyan, namekian and Frieza's clan and not a giant bug man. He is a new lifeform designed by the computer using there genetics. Because of this there is the very real possibility that Cell dose not have full access to all those races abilities. The computer had no way of knowing about the full potential of Frieza or the seemingly natural inclination of namekians towards the mystical. Infact Cell's entire manner for increasing his power, once perfect, is purely saiyan with the namekian and Frieza traits to over come some physical limitations.

Goku, Vegeta and Frieza were all at there weakest when there cells were taken from them and the computer only had, at best, data from there pre and early android saga abilities to work with when designing Cell. It had no way of knowing what there full potential could be and so while Cell seems like the ultimate lifeform on paper, his entire creation was based on old and inaccurate data. As a result Cell is potentially flawed by design, he cannot achieve god power through a ritual as he he is not pure of heart and Whis would likely never teach him and since his method of growth and improvement seems to be purely saiyan he may not be able to evolve like Frieza did. The same thing could also apply to namekian fusion to.


Now as TheSeductiveTomato said that dose not mean he cannot do such things but there is no evidence that he can either.

those are some fairly resilient bugs. i'd say the design was chosen because of that. "i'll take all of these different DNA types and work them into the form of a (insert tough insect of choice here) for extra toughness! as such, he will become perfect!

and as for cell not being able to go super saiyan... that's... well, let me break it down like this.

1: Cell gets hit in the stomach by gohan so hard he spits out android 18, and reverts to semi-perfect form.

2: Cell begins to self destruct in a last ditch attempt to kill everyone. Goku steps in and teleports Cell to King Kai's world, where Cell detonates.

3: The nucleus in cell's head remains intact, and as such, Cell is able to not only regenerate, but completely heal himself. He also gains a Zenkai boost.

4: The zenkai boost is so significant, that he no longer needs Android 18 to obtain his Perfect form. I/E, he has so much power, he can skip one form entirely.

it's not the same as the super saiyan transformation, but it's similar.

and though i do agree that he's more saiyan than namekian, consider the possibility that he has piccolo's cells from AFTER namek, where he has already "absorbed" nail. as such, cell's DNA wouldn't be a stranger to the absorption technique and it's results.

if the question were "could cell absorb piccolo like piccolo absorbed nail and kami" then i would be more confident in saying that even if he didn't have the same skill, he would likely have a similar one outside of "drinking" them.

but that's not the question. You asked if PICCOLO could absorb CELL based on his namekian DNA. to which i say: maybe. but considering that cell isn't pure namekian... the results could either be incredible... or horrific.

Future Cell's data is "inaccurate" when it concerns present characters. The spy robots diligently collected necessary data for Cell's development in the alternate future.

My head canon says Namekian syncing requires both parties to be 100% Namekian, not just a portion or some cells.

This is a terrible real life comparison but a human can't reproduce with an ape, even though we share 96% of our DNA.

Cicada was what i meant to say. I have a bad habit of calling them locusts. don't ask.

but what i was saying, was that the likely scenario is that all of the DNA was likely worked into an already existing body that was part human, part (almost did it again!) CICADA. it makes sense if you think about how cicadas go through a metamorphosis process. because frankly, if he only took the form of his primary progenitors, then he'd look more like a saiyan fused with Frieza.

to be fair, saiyans are seemingly closer to humans than apes are... and also closer to apes than humans are...

Well nothing ever states that he couldn't fuse with Cell. And nothing states that he could. So it's really up to you.
