Well, Goku don't shine at all.
First, Bulma have a dream and a blue light come to Goku to introduce all Z fighters.
Finally, the camera return with Goku to Bulma dream with the same blue light.... So no new form in the ending....
The shining is the blue light result, that's all !
And as I said Majin Buu, Piccolo/Gohan and Vegeta have the same mist.

If Goku's new form is his base with little visual changes, how would it work in the manga? How would everyone (out of universe of course) be able to tell when Goku is in his base and when he is in this new form? Would a glow really be enough to make it a new form?
There MUST be a visible visual change - it will probably be something simple but it can't be THAT simple. At the very least I expect Goku's hair to spike up (but still be black) similar to what Gohan's does, and maybe he will get fully outlined eyes too.

I don't know why no one bring this up the red eye ball guy who appears in the op,is shown with u11 in episode 85 preview,so he's from u11,I'll expect the toei website will update in Friday

I was hoping that he would be from U6's Earth. The idea of humans using high tech cyborg gadgets for fighting always seem like a cool idea in DB to me.

Super's introduced forms exclusive to it already like SSIkari and SSRose on top of variations like Golden SS with the Whis Gi or Blue with the Old Gis or Blue with Kaio-Ken. That's not counting the manga which gave Black SS and Vegeta SSGod.

Making Goku's strongest form a variation on his Base seems like something Toriyama would go for. His whole mentality with Ultimate was that copious transformations were fucking stupid and wasteful and making Base your strongest level of power is most efficient.

So apparently, People are thinking that Toriyama stole (or is making a reference) the idea of 17 being a park ranger from Teamfourstar. Even thought 17 was a park ranger in DBZ, DBZ ended around the 90's. YouTube in general only came to existence around 2005. Pretty sure that Ranger Interview was made before TFS made that joke.

They can still make a new toy of it, add some mist effects on the toy with Goku's base form... and have him glow in the dark

There MUST be a visible visual change - it will probably be something simple but it can't be THAT simple. At the very least I expect Goku's hair to spike up (but still be black) similar to what Gohan's does, and maybe he will get fully outlined eyes too.

In the manga simply give Goku some mist type effects, those white stuffs surrounding him, not that hard, its not just the glow giving it away, its the mist thats the weirdest one.

Kaio-Ken didn't change Goku's appearance beyond giving him a red aura & skin and they've made plenty of effective merchandise with it. Adding in some misty or white glow to Goku shouldn't be too difficult.

Plus, a lot of Super is literally in-continuity fanfiction by Toriyama, Toyotaro and Toei, they've literally done it all except recoloring SS4 and bringing that concept into the new stuff which I wouldn't put it past them.

FnF also didn't make Goku's base stronger than everything if he needed a transformation to avoid Freeza from instantaneously murdering him, Ultimate's entire point is to remove transformations completely. Plus Goku's stronger Base form has been retconned out by the new stuff bringing in the golden line back and powering him down to Mister Boo levels.

I love his design. He looks similar to Commander Zeu (an antagonist from one of Toriyama’s manga called ‘Sandland’). I didn’t catch this myself, but I find it interesting.

I wonder if it’s just coincidence or intentional, but props to whoever designed him.

I really look forward to the Cat Pride Trooper since he does look like Beerus and Champa. I personally like to see some type of origin for Beerus and Champa on how they become Gods. Same goes with the other ones as well.

Since he now became an animal lover, I would love they said that was something he got from A16 influence.

I never really cared about any of their characters alone, but as a team they were cool. I'm hoping they do something interesting with C17 that makes me change my opinion, as an individual character. I already know he's gonna kick ass but that's not enough to make a character interesting to me.
