It'll be Roshi. They will probably wonder who the 10th person will be and Roshi will suggest it. I'm pretty sure Roshi and Tien have had more meaningful interaction with each other than Roshi and Krillin have, which is kinda weird.

I think it'd be #18 who mentions him, remembering him as the badass who stalled Cell with the Kikoho. Or if #17 has memories from when he was inside Cell, then I guess he would be more likely to mention it.

I'd love if Krillin says something along the lines of "He's weaker than me but Tenshinhan should be pretty useful in the tournament".

Yamcha.

Beerus will remember how incredible Yamcha was during the U7 vs. U6 Baseball game, and want to recruit Yamcha, since honestly Yamcha's been more helpful to him in the past than the majority of U7's chosen champions. He'll send Krillin, Goku or Roshi to tell him(since they're all turtle school members) whilst Yamcha is meeting with Tien and Chiaouztu since he's the only one of the regular gang who bothers to meet up with them for socialising(nice guy Yamcha).

Yamcha will brag that it's obviously an honour to be chosen as one of the ten strongest, but he's awfully busy right now and he'll have to decline the offer as part of his plan. Since him and Tenshinhan have this oneupmanship thing going on, Tenshinhan will immedietely offer to take Yamcha's place. Goku/Krillin/Roshi will then accept Tenshinhan onto the team. Yamcha will probably try to protest but Tenshinhan, who knows Yamcha's game, will insist that whilst he couldn't POSSIBLY compare to Yamcha, he'll do his best to fulfill Yamcha's role in the team since the great Wolf Fang Fist master is far too busy for this and fly off with the others.

Yamcha will be left gawping alongside a pleased Chiaoutzu as he misses out yet again, this time due to his own foolishness.

You forgot that Ten has been training with Hitto his new Hitman idol, therefore, Kuririn will be spanked.

Personally, i would go with Piccolo vs Ten in a sparring session to remember the old times, but, A-17 is a strong probability as well. We have to wait and see.

Supreme Kai will come back and say no other stronger fighters in the universe. But will say you have someone not of Earth with dormant power here. The name will be revealed as Tenshinhan.

We will get a Goku vs Tenshinhan fight. And it'll be more epic than what we saw from Krillin. Tenshinhan might go blow for blow with Goku in his SSJ form.

If it doesn't play out like I said. Someone very respectful and powerful will point out Tenshinhan. Goku will feel stupid not to have thought of it earlier.

Side note the Manga will not play out like this. The mystery 10nth fighter is just to stretch out the episodes.

Actually, I could see that happening. They go to meet Tien, Yamcha and Chaotzu to say that they only have one spot left, then Yamcha comes up with the idea of him and Tien having a friendly match to decide who takes the final spot. Where Yamcha pays Tien back for that broken leg all those years ago, but still ultimately loses.
