Why does Goku turn SSB so damn often? It'd be more aesthetically pleasing if he used something like, say, Super Saiyan 3 once in a while. It would offer more variety and it would convey the same damn thing. Krillin's way weaker than Goku; it doesn't matter whether he's SS3 or SSB. Is animating Blue easier or something?

I have no issue with Goku using SSJB. Given the context of the Tournament of Power, it'd make more sense for Goku to know just how well some of the guys on his team would do against a person who's near, at the same level or above the power tier that Goku's SSJB form is, even is Goku is drastically holding back. Because there are going to many people are as strong and even much strong than Goku at that battle royal.

Goku and Gohan are lucky to have those 2 as a team, they even dare challenge both Goku and Gohan together because God Goku seems to be not enough of a challenge for the two of them.

No way 17 will surpass Boo! he trained to the point of slimming down! cut the boy some slack, it takes effort for that to happen in such a short amount of time

He didn't say this particular line, he did go SS after testing him but that's it..

I personally am going with the headcanon of goku transforming to blue every chance he gets to get used to blue completely

Well, Most people assumed his been dead all these years. So I guess that's where the surprise is from.

Why would they assume that ? Piccolo heavily stated that he was alive when they wished for Cell's victims,Krillin wished for both his and 18's bombs to be removed and we literally see him in the buu saga.
