I know, but if the manga doesn't do something then it's almost definitely not from Toriyama and it feels less real to me. It doesn't matter completely but they'res a small part of me that'll be dissapointed if the prelims aren't from Toriyama.

So it needs Toryama's blessing to be good or real? Since when does it comes from Toriyama automatically means its good?

I do go in with more caution when toriyama's name is not on something. Outside of the 42 volume manga, there are only 2 things toriyama wrote dragon ball wise that I consider bad. Minus and RoF.




Literally, everyone else who releases something officially from this show have an awful track record with it. Toei made 1 special that I love and I can't even acknowledge the other one because to do that we have to take in account its part 2. They made 3 good movies out of 13.

The live action movies are all awful and then we have the games where 7 out of 96 of them are actually good.




So, yeah Toriyama's name is needed for me. At least I know what shit I'm going to get with him. The man ain't a flawless writer and I wish he stopped dragon ball before he got burnt out. He probably would have made a 3rd hit series but as long as he is alive, i don't want dragon ball made without him. I know super is not just made by toriyama and it be insulting to say the good is only him, the bad is only toei, but some of the choices toei made to that 1989 anime, it ain't good man.

3 weeks to their intense training. I am still saying Piccolo and Gohan team up to beat Jiren.

Definitely wouldn't mind if that were to happen. Though I find it more likely that they'll both get wrecked by Jiren.

It wouldn't hurt to try. Super is really putting an emphasis on the fact that glass ceilings do not exist for any of the characters, and they can become really strong if they apply themselves properly in training.

That was said to happen in the next episode(Episode 86) according to Herms, episode might end with the arrival of the spaceship and attacking the island while Goku and 17 are sparring

Its good to see Piccolo will become God-Tier due to training with Gohan, I mean he got stronger in the U6 due to training with a weaker version of Gohan, reaching Godtier it would kinda suck if thats the reason he gets used as tool hype instead of Vegeta.

Gohan knew where to find Piccolo and Piccolo said he is ready so has probably been training for a long time there and must have got stronger. Just like Krillin and training off screen.

Gohan needs longer than 37 hours. Everyone needs longer than that unless it is some sort of unlocking ability.

Personally I feel like judging a work of art based on who the artist is, is just as pretentious as designer labels. All Super is the equivalent of a mass produced polo tshirt with Ralph Lauren's name on it, or on this case Toriyamas.

I disagree with that, wholeheartedly but then again I think Art and entertainment are 2 different things and dragon ball falls in the latter so opinions.

My only reply to this is yikes. If the "name" on the art or entertainment carries weight on its value for you, I'm not sure how you can give an unbiased opinion on anything regarding the quality of a work.

A "name" should only serve as an indication of finding similar works you enjoy, not used to as measurement of the quality of the works itself..

They should. Guess we'll find out in a couple weeks if they do or not.

So...what does everyone think of the small other details we've seen in the recent episode like the Kaioshin realms and GoD's realms. Universe 1's was kind of weird looking, Uni6 is pretty much the same as Uni7, Universe 10 is somewhat similar to uni7 as well. As far as the GoD's, Mosco's place seems all high tech, it would be funny if Uni 3 Kaioshin realm looked like a library XD.


It seems as if out of all the Kaioshin participating though, Gowasu still seems like the chillest one of them all. Uni2 was a little too tough guy like, Uni3 seems to think he just got more brains than the others, Uni4 seems like he has a huge ego and we already know about Rou lol.

The four somewhat calmest so far seem to be Uni7, Uni6, Gowasu and Kai. To be honest I sort of expected all the Kaioshin to be more composed. Can you imagine though if Shin was replaced with Rou during the Majin Buu arc? That would actually be pretty interesting to see imo lol.

An artist reflects off the work, a work reflects off an artist. Thats how I see it.


It holds more weight than you give it credit for and as an artist myself, I am personally offended by your statement. A name isn't just made overnight, it takes a whole lot of factors that you probably don't even consider, A name should improve quality because it itself was forged in the fire of its quality.



As for being unbiased, how can you be biased about something that's already subjective. There are no rules to art, no facts on how they should be judge. Only a personal belief in how things should be made and we use our knowledge of what we love or hate to support that belief.


That includes the knowledge of an artist and the name he has built.


But thats just like my opinion, man. if you think opposite of me, thats cool. I don't really care.

Tenshin style dojo! Making Tenshinhan open his own martial arts school is a really great progression for his character. I had hoped they took this route with his character for a long time, although Toriyama's last comments about him seemed to make that unlikely. Then again, it has been years since then and his comments about Tenshinhan have always been kind of inconsistent.

I don't know, even though I do like Tien opening a dojo I feel ike "Tenshin style" is a dumb name, wasn't the one he opened in DBO named "New Crane" or something?

I love this sub-plot with the Gods of Destruction. Also, Tenshin-style Dojo.

I wouldn't mind if the tournament doesn't start for another two months, if they deliver episodes like last week. Keep these character focused episodes coming!

You expect this to begin in June? Like really? Are they going to show each Universe background before the tournament? Definitely not this month, but Tournament Of Power will probably start in May.

Well, acording to recent episodes and previews SSJB tier is a power anyone can reach if they train off-screen, so don't be surprised with SSJB Goku struggling with Roshi and Tien In the next episodes
