My problem wasnt that Goku went blue, sure yeah I got what they were trying to say, they wanted Goku to test Krillin out (no matter how dumb the idea was when a mere SSJ3 would be enough to scare the crap out of him and its not like all their enemies are SSJG levels) my problem is Krillin pushed the damn wave back and made Goku put more power in his wave. Whats the purpose of going SSJB if he was gonna hold back much more than what his base could already accomplish? is Krillin that dumb that he wouldnt notice?

If the tournament starts this june then I wont be surprised anymore if the actual tournament only lasts for 2 eps max literally 48mints in our time as well.

All I know is this damn tournament better be amazing due to all this build up. Not only due to the recent episodes and the exhibition tournament, but also the 10 weeks of filler/slice of life episodes they had before this after the Zamasu arc ended. I mean holy crap....it feels like this tournament has had over 6 months of build-up already.

If the actual tournament is disappointing or bad...then there goes all that goodwill.

89: Roshi and Tien.
90: Finish all training off and everything else.
91: They meet, talk and travel.
92: They arrive at the tournament the discussions happen between universes and rivalries will start.
93: Tournament starts

Goku is fine as a crush, I would have preferred if it was gohan though..
Something about gohan sweating when a girl corners him ( cocoa, videl ) is way to funny too pass up, and this around the girl would have been stronger then him as well

87: 17 gets recruited
88: Gohan and Piccolo training
89: Muten and Tenshinan get recruited
90: Training
91: Finishing training, end of episode the narrator states 1 hour is left until the beginning of the tournament and everyone is gathering
92: All warriors gather and they make up a tactic for the tournament, at the end of the episode the tournament starts
93: First episode of the tournament

I think by how things are going, we will at least see 2 episodes of training. Though it could just be 1 and 92 could be the first episode of the tournament, making it effectively start at the end of May.
I can't see it starting before episode 92. So at the very least it will start on the 28th of May.

About the no-flying rule, what do you guys think? I really hope this will be the case and Bukujutsu can't be used on the ring too, it would make this tournament even more special and I would love to see once again true ground battles like up until 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai (and to an extent King Piccolo arc, even though the only main player who couldn't fly was Goku)

Don't forget the possibility of showing other universes prep too.

I would have no problem with the tournament starting in July. I actually want to see much more of the other universes and I would love to see them gathering and training. Would also like to see 3 episodes of training for our characters. Honestly I'm all for them milking the shit out of this 40 hours, it would also ensure the tournament animation is top notch.

We already see them flying in the opening. Look tan goku and Jiren and Vegeta and Fat Lady

You and me both! Each episode currently is going at an hourly rate we could have 40 episodes before the tournament starts! But seriously speaking the tournament is gonna be there it is not going away why not take their time? This arc so far has that very Dragon Ball feeling about it, Dragon Ball was built on it's characters and that is exactly what we're getting here, I absolutely disliked the U6 arc but loved all the character stuff that followed that arc that was way more enjoyable for me (heck even the Copy Vegeta arc was for me) than a randomly cobbled tournament with no build up and no consequences, but here everything is being fleshed we have even started to get different perspectives from the different universes, this is gonna make the ToP so much more satisfying.

I think there will be 16 episode of build up so the tournament starts in episode 93 and I also feel the actual tournament itself will not be longer than the build up so we are looking at 17 episodes at least.

The length of the build up also makes me think that all 10 will last a very long time. If they don't I will will be so annoyed as what is the point of the build up if they are just going to get rid of Roshi, Buu right at the start.

Since we have 70 potential opponents I think Toei are going to do so much filler, for example if Toriyama said that Buu loses to some opponent then Toei will use some characters not in Toriyama's outline to give Buu more screen time and fights before he fights that opponent. This will be replicated for kany fighters as well.

If we are looking at this long of a prep time before the tournament, I expect a freeza soldiers fight for 3 episodes straight, then a namek freeza fight for 2 episodes, ending with namek freeza vs goku fight for 5 episodes or more.

All in all there should be 10 episodes worth of tournament here..
But knowing super I will tone it down to 4 episodes of the actual match..
