Definitely. The quality of art and animation has been suprisingly good so far. I didn't expect it to be this consistent. The exhibition matches at the start had me worried as well. But everything has turned out well so far. The post processing looks really nice as well. Initially they did had issues with it but I think its much better now. The in house Toei episodes also have had a short staff list, which is the exact opposite of the Trunks arc, where we initially had 3 supervisors on a single episode.

Next week's episode looks really nice. Considering how things have been in this arc, I am pretty sure it will be a really good episode. Tate wasn't as heavily involved in 79 as he usually is, because part of the episode was outsourced if I remember correctly. So I am pretty sure 86 will be solid episode.

Wow!
Let me say this....

Do Takahashi or Mini Shida really admires Naotoshi Shida? Because his way of animating is pretty familiar, and looking at these pictures made me believe that he is practicing to be like Shida.

And after seeing these pictures, Takahashi is pretty diligent, animators worked like 80 hours a week. Never thought he had a lot of time to do some practicing... Even drawing doodles!

Maybe Shida's tweet about returning to Dragon Ball made Takahashi to be more inspired to Dragon Ball. But he said these effect sketches are done long ago. .

Still though, I thought that Takahashi's work is natural like Shida.
But turns out that he always practiced to be Shida.

These are impressive though!

EDIT: After seeing his Twitter.. He's a fan of Dragon Ball.
He even retweeted Dragon Ball Sakuga's Tweet on Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru's work and the DBS April Fools promo art. I hope he works on DBS soon. But there's a Fairy Tail Movie coming, not sure whether he will work on that.

What's the difference between storyboarding for a live action VS 2D animation?
Feel free to correct me if I say something wrong.

I would really love if Yuya Takahashi made returned to work on an episode. Even a small cut like the one he did in #13 would be a welcome addition to the tournament.

Also, looking forward to Tate's next episode, the art looks like it's going to be pretty solid, maybe his work is going to be more conservative like it was in #56 and #79, or maybe he finally got the time to polish his work while also producing more solid stuff. In any case, I have high expectations.

Also, Yuy Takahashi seems really to like Naotoshi Shida.

Like, he retweeted YTWes's Tweet about the Kuririn Vs Goku match in OG DB.
He also retweeted a Tweet from Ajay about Shimanuki's genga.

Hey guys, new member at kanzenshuu. I think some of you guys know me from Twitter or sakugabooru. Saw all this talk about Yuya Takahashi and thought I would let you guys in some of the stuff he's working on and what naught.

First things first, the chances we'll see him in the upcoming tournament arc is fairly low or at least within the next 2 months. I asked him back in February(around the time the second opening came out) what shows should we expect to see him on in the upcoming months and he replied that he'll be doing animation direction work for episode 9 of this show https://myanimelist.net/anime/34262/Ous ... ushi_Haine and that he'll provide KA for the series and the updated opening for Heybot!

Another series he is possibly working on is the upcoming Fairy tail movie as the recent trailers looked like they had some of his character artwork but of course this is just a guess and may have been work he animated a while back.

Super still has a pretty meh schedule so I think if he would work on an upcoming episode he probably wouldn't have known back when I asked him but again he seemed busy so I dont know if he had time to do anything.

One last thing I want to let you guys know is that he has a weird stance when it comes to sharing actual genga so don't be surprised if he doesn't share any.

Lots of Dragonball influence here haha.

That's kind of disappointing, but it's no surprise. This is DBS after all. Anyways, welcome to the forum.

That's straight up Gohan... I still feel like he might be practicing for Super, even if it might be a while before he works on the series.

There's no reason to think Takahashi won't pop up in the end. Let's not forget Shida is not confirmed for the Tournament either.
It's okay.

The tournament won't start before late May and if Shida appears will be during the climax, so no sooner than June at the earliest.
We don't know how long the tournament will last or what will happen.

What we know?! They bother to gives us a new Opening for this arc, proper build up, and the overall quality has been better and more consistent than any arc before.
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

Oh man I would absolutely love if he was on the Fairy Tail movie, UK screening for next month just got announced would love to see what he can do in a movie and on the big screen his work in the series has been good!
The doodle of Gohan does give hope though we could maybe work on DBS sometime.

In live action you have to worry about lugging around a camera. In animation you don't have to worry about the camera, so you can place your shots however you please.

Will this new building improve Super's schedule or just shows that are created after the creation of the building, and if it will improve Super's schedule, how much will it be improved? I think these are probably the more important questions that need to be asked in relation to how this information effects Super.

This could be potentially great news. Especially for a show like Super which needs all the help it can get.

He's in the foreground, so he's going to appear taller, and vice versa for Goku.
