Whats your current rating of Super as of episode 84?

It's a solid 8. It would be 9 if only art and animation were better/more consistent.
U6 arc, for example, is a fine arc story-wise but the bad animation kind of ruins it for me.

BoG arc: 8/10
RoF arc: 6/10
U6 arc: 7.5/10
FT arc: 9.5/10
USA arc: 9/10 so far

I don't get why people people who give 6/10 are still watching it. I would drop any show I consider a 6/10. I can understand rating the re-tellings of the movies this way but if you still consider the show under 6/10 from the U6 arc onwards then I suggest you to stop watching Super.

Maybe people like me have higher standards. I rate Super 6.5/10

Its nowhere near Z and the original Dragonball. but its not bad. It has its moments. The retelling arcs really did it for me in a bad way along with the mystical Future Trunks power ups, the subpar U6 arc which was just a generic tournament that really didn't separate itself from other tournaments in the past, and the weak animation from time to time.

I still watch Super because I enjoy Dragonball as a whole and love the chaacters as i have been following them for many many years.

It's not higher standards, just different tastes.

Lol, for me is the opposite, i've seen a lot of 8 in the ratings maybe even a 9 (if i'm not mistaking it with one score a fan gave super in yt). I'm surprised with the amount of high scores, (well i gave it a 6.5 which isn't exactly high but still).

Yeah it's quite strange. I give it 8 and the only episode I ever watched live was Episode 1. I prefer to wait for the subs so I don't have to watch it twice to understand it.

Got curious and went on Crunchy Roll's ratings, it's got an average of 4.5/5. We're much harsher than they are haha.

BoG Arc: 7/10
RoF Arc: 6/10
Champa Arc*: 7.5/10
FT Arc*: 8/10
US Arc (As of 85): 8.5

*Despite FT Arc's numerous highs (Fusion, SSJRage, Angry Goku, Black, SSJRosé), it was largely offset by its lows (Pacing, Asspulls, Unsatisfying ending). While Champa arc was consistently goodish never bad at one point, and had that great high in the end (All of Hit vs Goku/Vegeta). So if I had to watch one of the completed arcs, It would be Champa Arc.

My rating is....just a statement. It's more Dragon Ball stuff and it's entertaining.

If I were to briefly judge it critically, it's improved in some ways since it's started out. Fights are starting to become worthwhile, the slice of life filler have always been consistently entertaining, they miraculously pulled off an evil Goku, Champa is the best character and they occasionally do some amazing things. However, a lot of the characterization is inconsistent as is the story writing. Sometimes it feels like all it's doing is throwing as many nostalgia bombs as it can weekly for the sake of it and other times it does throw things that are new (of varying quality). It's nowhere near as great as the stuff before it, even though it had every potential to surpass them considering the concepts they had in store. I will say what it does is much more interesting than GT did....though I wish they inherited the composer and it's great production values from it. But, I still like watching it despite its issues, because it's the characters I grew up with in new adventures. -shrug-

Because i love it, but i don't want to end up overhyped like i was in the past (seriously i was like really obnoxius). I'm like super obsessed with the series but i can't deny that overall BoG was ok, RoF terrible, U6 arc good, the copy Vegeta filler terrible, the Black arc was great (and one of my favourites arcs) and post Black arc, things have been fine so far. But i feel that if i gave the series a bigger rating before this arc even finishes i would be being unfair with my criteria as i don't do the same with other shows.

But i'm so fucking glad with the improvement the series have been getting so far. Go super
