It does not.Dbzfan94 wrote:Yes but that contradicts what we know about his character. Toriyama can say whatever he wants but if that information is the opposite of what we know in the manga then does it really hold any weight?Lord Beerus wrote:
The funny thing is that, according to Toriyama, Yamcha really was fooling around when dating Bulma and that's why Bulma dumped him.So at the very least, in Toriyama's eyes, Yamcha is the kind of guy that can't keep his dick in pantsTV Anime Guide: Dragon Ball Tenka’ichi Densetsu
Speaking of Yamcha, he was dumped by Bulma, wasn’t he?
That was a shock. I often spoke with Hiromi Tsuru-san, who plays Bulma; both she and I thought Bulma and Yamcha would end up together. And for Vegeta, of all people! It really was a shock. So when I met with Toriyama-sensei, I complained, “Why did it have to be like this?!” Then Toriyama-sensei said, “Come on; Yamcha’s a cheater.” (laughs)
Yes, Yamcha wanted to get married in the first arc. Characters change, he couldn't even be in front of a girl before and he grew. If the author corroborates what is told in the manga, which was the last information given regarding the topic; then that's what the character is.
He's even consistent about it by not marrying Yamcha after so many years. Seems like after being with a girl he changed his mind about monogamy, I speculate.
