Stretchy arms is good, but doesn't his regen weaken him? Then there's the fact that Multi-Form is potentially a bad move. Of course in a Battle Royale setting it might just be a decent move to use. Something like Light Grenade won't be worth using, neither would SBC as that puts the risk of killing someone. Though Hellzone Grenade could be put to great effect. Can't say he's the smartest fighter though.namekiansaiyan wrote:Giant form would be useful against certain opponents such as Magetta. He also has regeneration, stretchy arms, multi form, excellent hearing, wide range of ki blasts. This along with being the smartest fighter, being able to handle to handle pressure and having a decent amount of power makes Piccolo very useful and consequently very hard for an opponent to kncok him out of the ring.TheMathemagician wrote:Piccolo will need a big power boost to mess with Bergamo. This is Super, so that's certainly possible.MrBlackFox wrote:
That would be crazy!giant piccolo ftw
Turning big for Piccolo isn't a good reason for why he's more useful than most of U7 at all.namekiansaiyan wrote:
One of many reasons why Piccolo is so useful compared to most of Universe 7.

Did anyone else see the old DBZ bumper they just just played on Toonami for a "new episode of DBZ" coming on next? Dragon Ball Super is playing next. I don't know what they mean. Maybe the original DBZ dub is coming back on Toonami after Kai is over?

Basically most of the cast will be God-Tier besides Goku and Vegeta.
17 proved tonight he is God-Tier, Buu is already God-Tier in his skinny form, Gohan will be GodTier once he regains Mystic form and Piccolo too due to sparring with him.

I doubt that's the case, last week they showed an old Toonami game review from around the same year as the old DBZ bumper. It's likely just there for nostalgia.SaiyaSith wrote:Did anyone else see the old DBZ bumper they just just played on Toonami for a "new episode of DBZ" coming on next? Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Best case scenario is that they're hinting at replacing Kai with the original DBZ dub to keep the hour of Dragon Ball intact. I saw the old video game reviews but I've only seen one old TV show bumper.MainJPW wrote:I doubt that's the case, last week they showed an old Toonami game review from around the same year as the old DBZ bumper. Edit: I just saw the old DBZ bumper a 2nd time just now and it says "DBZ, Get ready for the 2nd coming. Coming Soon." So the original DBZ dub on Toonami is confirmed to be coming back.

Oh hell no, 17 is still hiding his strength after goku had to go SSB, not for fear factor or anything else, he legit had to go..
That's all the shit I can handle.
If they decide to do this better I might return but that's it for super now..
I am throwing in the towel..

The mere fact that goku needed to go SSB isn't sitting well with me, sure they both held back, how much? He wasn't even flinching when goku was holding back his strength as SSB, 17 is damn near SSB strength if not fully there..ArchedThunder wrote:And Goku was holding back too...Ki Breaker wrote:Oh hell no, 17 is still hiding his strength after goku had to go SSB, not for fear factor or anything else, he legit had to go..

I have had just about enough of this discussion, nothing wrong with you ArchedThunder, everyone suddenly having potential as high as freeza is getting too ridiculous for my tastes..
Not gonna change my mind anymore, i will stick around somewhat but super lost me

17 with zero training was already massively stronger than Freeza was, so his gains from training should be just as huge AND he has far more time to get stronger than Freeza.Ki Breaker wrote: The mere fact that goku needed to go SSB isn't sitting well with me, sure they both held back, how much? Next episode literally looks like a bad DBZ-tier filler episode. Maybe it'll be more entertaining than the preview makes it look, but eh.

You know, you're using Super logic to justify Super logic. The Frieza thing was met with just as much backlash. Same as Vegeta training to go SSJB.ArchedThunder wrote:17 with zero training was already massively stronger than Freeza was, so his gains from training should be just as huge AND he has far more time to get stronger than Freeza.Ki Breaker wrote: The mere fact that goku needed to go SSB isn't sitting well with me, sure they both held back, how much? "Dragon Ball once became a thing of the past to me, but after that, I got angry about the live action movie, re-wrote an entire movie script, and now I'm complaining about the quality of the new TV anime. It seems Dragon Ball has grown on me so much that I can't leave it alone." - Akira Toriyama on Dragon Ball Super
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
IDK he is just a modified human. Trunks got stupid strong in no time at all and he started off as a weakling. Super just doesn't care. I'm sure Gohan will get a crazy boost as well. 18 ain't out the question either anymore. Roshi, Tien, and Piccolo are the only ones who are still bound to logic, which sucks for me but hey.ArchedThunder wrote:17 with zero training was already massively stronger than Freeza was, so his gains from training should be just as huge AND he has far more time to get stronger than Freeza.Ki Breaker wrote: The mere fact that goku needed to go SSB isn't sitting well with me, sure they both held back, how much? Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Gohan surpassed Goku's strength from the beginning of Z as a toddler, Goku Got massively stronger training for 6 days on his way to Namek, Piccolo got stronger than second form Freeza by fusing with a Namekian that couldn't even touch first form Freeza, Vegeta became a Super Saiyan just by training by himself, Gero made 6 androids stronger than Freeza using data that ended after the Saiyan arc, Goten and Trunks became Super Saiyans as small children just cause.fadeddreams5 wrote: You know, you're using Super logic to justify Super logic. Dragon Ball is full of crazy power ups and power scale oddities. It's strange to me that people get so upset about the ones in Super. The only one I can understand really is Trunks in episode 57, but even that I don't think is that big of a deal.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
17 being super powerful doesn't bother me. I do think it's BS, but that's more because of inept writers than anything. I understand that they don't care about power scale, and don't feel obligated to give even a half decent explanation of anything, so I don't let it get to me. 17 is a cool character who is going to do cool stuff, and that's enough for me. However that doesn't change the fact that it's BS. Same as the Trunks scenario, and Goten and Trunks having so much power for no reason. Those Zenkai and Namekian fusions are pretty bad to, but they had an explanation even if it wasn't a great one. They were both absurdly cheap though. I think that SSJ 1 and the Kami fusion weren't that bad though they both had some foreshadowing, and you knew they would be absurd boosts from jump street. Piccolo actually had a similar situation to 17 when he trained for 3 years and become SSJ level. That was BS. If Piccolo could make gains like that he should be on par with 17 right now. I also don't have a problem with 17 and 18 being stronger than Frieza to begin with. Gero didn't intend for that. He didn't realize how strong and uncontrollable they really were.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
If you're interested in the story just stick to the manga cause as of now it hasn't done any (maybe VERY little) of the nonsense the anime's been doing.Ki Breaker wrote:That's all the shit I can handle.

At this point they just don't care, their logic is do whatever will sell and keep kids interested regardless of it making sense or not.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Episodes look better, but I still can't get into this arc's story. The art direction on 86 was amazing, but it doesn't make me care any more or less about 17. Let me actually see his family and see him interact with them.
I don't like being reminded about how Z ends, Dende. I'm as bored by Uub as I am 17.
Also, I'm not even a power level person and even I can tell this episode's power scaling smells funny.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
The only good thing coming this week is the preview card for episode 88 as anything with 17 from now on will be just be ridiculous until the rest of team universe 7 recieve the same treatment he has.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
You're bored of Uub, a character who hasn't even appeared in this show and got 3 episodes of screentime back in DBZ? Disregarding what he did in GT, we've barely see Uub in the series.Chuquita wrote: I don't like being reminded about how Z ends, Dende. I'm as bored by Uub as I am 17..
