Piccolo's an okay character to me, but that's not because he gets hyped up and then does nothing. I feel like that's happened to every character at least once.

People understate Piccolo's role in the Buu arc. Sure he wasn't necessarily a prominent fighter, but he was still a prominent character who was vital and respected. In Super he's gone to Yamcha tier of being treated like garbage.

Piccolo was disrespected by Goten and Trunks the entire arc.

So he got some sass from a couple of bratty kids? So what? In Super Goku's a straight up ass to him and he's become Vegeta's bitch which is just entirely out of character.

His first attempt at fighting got him turned to stone in an instant.

I already said he isn't a prominent fighter but a prominent character.

The Champa arc treated him better.

That's just false.

It's not that he isn't a prominent fighter, it's that he straight up got disrespected in the fight.

Goku isn't an asshole to him, he's honest. Nothing he's said was really untrue. Gokus always been blunt.

So Piccolo giving his match to Vegeta is OOC? How so ? I think Piccolo not only understands Vegetas feelings hut also that he was going to get destroyed in the tournament if he kept fighting.

Piccolo getting shade. It seems people don't understand why Piccolo has been in the top 5 most popular characters for a while. I got to educate you guys. Piccolo gets hyped and doesn't do shit. That's true, but it doesn't matter. People liked Piccolo in the saiyan saga because he showed character growth, and that made him more than just a stoic asshole. Goku vs Piccolo was one of the best fights in dragon ball. Top 5 for a lot of people. He lost that fight, but if he won the series would be over, so what did you expect? It was sill probably the best fight Toriyama drew tbh, and it was great in the anime to. Piccolo was literally brought into the namek saga just to have a fanservice fight with Frieza. There was no way in hell Toriyama could have let Piccolo beat Frieza, but Toriyama liked Piccolo so much he gave him a BS powerup and fight just because he could. In a series where people who fight are the ones who matter most that's a big deal.

Piccolo arguably got 150x stronger in the android arc just cause Toriyama still wanted him to keep up a bit. He couldn't kill 20 because then the androids don't happen and the plot ends. Come on guys it's not that hard. The fight with 17 was pretty cool as well. I don't understand this weird mentally that you got to win fight and do super important stuff to be cool comes from.

Piccolo in buu arc was leagues better than his role in super. The boys didn't take him serious, but the story never says they are in the right to do that. Guess what? Buutenks happens because they don't listen to piccolo. Not listening to Piccolo got Gohan, Goten, and Trunks killed. They died for that shit. Piccolo is the voice of reason in that arc. His failing are because of crazy shit completely outside of his power, but his efforts were noble. I can't see how buu arc piccolo could be worse than super Piccolo who got foddered off by some loser that's weaker than a non trained gohan, who should be weaker than namek frieza because the arc before it said that the base saiyans were weaker than Frieza. At least getting spit on by dabura is something that he couldn't have known would turn him into stone. Getting wrecked by some loser you've been stronger than for over half decade is that next level writing. Piccolo didn't do cool stuff in the buu arc, but I'd agrue he was even lamer in super. He's almost W aganist Frost get negated by him being Vegeta's bitch in the next scene. Every ass whooping Piccolo got in Z combined made him look like less of a bitch than that one Vegeta scene. Where I am now People would kill you for that level of disrespect (The hood is no place to live.)

Piccolo probably won't be much this arc, but the shade in these post. I gotta do my boy right and defend him.

Your first paragraph is probably a major reason why he got a fight in the Champa arc instead of Gohan or Buu.

You sound like you have low expectation for Piccolo on purpose just so you won't be disappointed. Don't let promtion fool you as if Buu stays skinny than the promotion will definitely mean nothing.

Piccolo could have beat Cabba and with Magetta going giant to go pound for pound would have helped. Piccolo would have said some sort of insult to Magetta as well or ring out.

They just wanted to make Goku and Vegeta look good and make Toriyama realised that it was not good and that is why we have 10 each this time so it is basically impossible for it to be Goku and Vegeta only.

Maybe we'll get an episode that shows the recruitment and before she gets her uniform ?

I mean, with as messed-up the promotion of the USA has been (name changes, Universe changes, who-from-U11-watches-the-exhibition-match changes), I wouldn't be surprised if they had suddenly decided to change the design for her.

Fembroly has different eyes and fewer eye lashes. Could just be a design change from Toriyama's art though.

Eh, I don't think we'll fall back into that so easily. Odds are we won't be seeing much of any of the (non-Universe 7) tournament fighters again after the arc is over, so it'll mostly be status quo.
