Does that mean they just have to stall for time until Merged Zamasu unfuse? Then what happens next? After they unfused, Trunks just goes for the kill and stabs Goku Black repeatedly like a madman while Goku and Vegeta pummels Future Zamasu for the funsies until Goku realise they can't kill him and just push the button to call Zeno?

Nah, that's a dumb idea. I'll take the universe erasing thing but at a much earlier time. Please Zeno, you're our only hope left!

I wonder what it is about Kaioshin now that makes them different, if Zamasu doesn't count. If it's a status thing, why not pronounce Goku and Vegeta Kaioshin? Maybe only the Kai race can become Kaioshin?

Wow, there it is. I find Trunks's words about Bulma very moving. I think this will push Vegeta to fuse.

And the Potaras. The permanent fusion for mortals is retconned too, but with one more twist, looks like if you are not officially a Kaioshin, at least one half, it's not permanent either and neither Black or future Zamasu were. Interesting.

Zamasu defusing literally means there's nothing to worry about since Black was being jobbed by SSG Vegeta.

I love Trunks' speech about his mother, props to Toyotaro. Vegetto was obviously appearing in the manga, I called it ever since he appeared in the anime.

For all we know about this chapter so far, I wish they would incorporate part of it in a new episode from the anime to extend episode 66. Unfortunately it will never happen...

That's not what's shown to be the case. The Kaioshin couldn't bring Trunks and Mai back to the present (which would've been the natural course of action), and Zamasu couldn't go to Future Barbari without wearing a Potara.

Apparently he is not. Look, he said all gods were dead, that includes Rumosh. There is no Kaioshin without Hakaishin. In fact, it makes more sense now.

It's really interesting. If there's one thing Toyotaro has proven to me over and over again, it's that he's unpredictable.

From what we know of the process Toriyama reviews Toyotaro's outlines/drafts and makes corrections where he sees fit, so he must not see it as too crazy. I also never expected Gogeta, since he's not a Toriyama character (though maybe he did the M12 character design?).

Anyhow, still crossing my fingers that if Zeno blows up the timeline in next month's chapter as expected, Trunks is relocated to Cell's. Too clean a fit not to have (instead of creating a new timeline split or whatever Whis did in the anime).

Only one half of Merged Zamasu is a Kaioshin.

Maybe that's what ultimately turns him into the universe glob the mortal half tries to defuse but the God half tries to stay fuse resulting in a blob of nothingness.

Seems it's a fun chapter. Just one question shouldn't Old Kaioshin have defused then, since the witch wasn't a God? Maybe a plot-hole. Can't wait for the full chapter and translation.

I'm sad they retconned the Fusion rules but what can you do.
