I really don't like that a bunch of people are rolling with "Yamamuro probably just threw away Toriyama's design."

Agreed, changing her design to something different is so utterly pointless that I have no idea how some people came to his conclusion.

Most likely, she’ll wear a different outfit in the battle royal. Her purple outfit doesn’t look something suited for fighting and looks more like a regular/normal outfit, and that’s probably what she’ll look in her first appearance.

The eyes are both a different shape and have different eyelashes

It could just be that they changed them in the anime design, but they've been pretty good about keeping new character's eye shapes the same as Toriyama's designs.
That Super Saiyan hair also looks less wild than the hair on the Toriyama art.

The Manga hasn't even finished the Black arc yet. The U.S arc will start in June at the earliest.

Or least somewhere in May

Toriyama's design could just be her eyes widened up, and the anime part has her eyes in serious battle mode, it happens with Gohan and Goku as well.

Hopefully, the TOP starts in may for the anime. Super has been going sonic speeds in previous arcs, so I definitely like that it's fleshing things out now, but we can't go from sonic to back to snail tier. I can see it starting two episodes after Tien's episode if they really wanted to. Hopefully, no later than 4 episodes after Tien's.

Power levels don't Matter to me as much as logic does..
I rarely participate in such discussions..
All the logic breaks have built up, it's hard for me to enjoy something like that..

But hey, maybe the tournament will be so good it will pull me in again, as of now though it's not even close to that

The whole show is based in power and fights..
Trunks rage is an example, you can call it a power level problem, but the fact it came of of nowhere no explanation not even inuniverse acknowledgement is the type of logic break I am talking about..

That female Saiyan design from Toriyama looks incredibly good. I really like his current art! It's definitely similar to the style he used for Dragon Quest designs and I love his artworks/designs for those games.

I'm very hyped for this girl, hopefully she will bring some Saiyan lore and will have some backstory. Don't know whether she is the female SSJ in the opening but if she is, I wonder when we will see her in this outfit. Hoping for 1 or 2 episodes based on Planet Sadal before the tournament starts.

I feel you, I'd advice to skip the scouting episodes and wait for the ToP, this is only happening because they want to hype up the team so yeah if you dont want to see a buff Roshi going at it against SSJ3 Goku then wait till the ToP.

Here's the problem with that,

these are not Boly's clothes. The hair style in that Toriyama art is much closer to Broly than either the base or Super Saiyan we've seen as well. If this was a design that was thrown out why would they be using it in their promotion for the show? The Yamamuro design above also doesn't really match his typical style and seems more like it's based on someone else's design (either Toriyama or Toyotaro), and finally Toei has been very respectful to Toriyama's designs, going as far as to give Trunks the same blue hair he had in Toriyama's design, the idea that Toei threw out one of Toriyama's designs is ridiculous to me.

It would be good to release all the teams sometime before the tournament, so many characters it would be hard to familiarize with them otherwise..
Even the full universe 6 team would be nice to see

I don't imagine any more than a handful of new characters will actually be important, so there isn't too much of a reason to.

It would be nice to know all 80 so we can guess and not know who will be important.

I would stop thinking about power levels if the power level inconsistency applied to all characters. I want this tournament to be about pure skill not power.

There will probably be three saiyans imo, to match u7 team
Cabba and the two girls / Goku Gohan Vegeta

It would look cool on paper but I hope the casual fans dont start bashing DBS for having "too many powerful females fighters" and it becomes like the Star Wars fandom with the fans already bashing Rey for being shoved down their throats.

Fem Broly having the potential in reaching Blue level or more is already being foreshadowed.

Maybe this character has a multiple looks or styles? Not like Bulma always looks the same.

I don't think it's FemBroly, the hair seems to be different (Even if the one we see in the OP untied her hair). The design we see here doesn't have that one bang in the front shown larger than the other. Then again, who knows.

I really like the design tho, looks like something out of Dragon Quest.
