Really love that new character design. Judging by the translation seems like they are saying she's another new saiyan besides the one shown in the Opening. Different people then.

From what I understand it doesn't say that they are the same character or separate characters.

You know that is a lie. Vegeta and his impatience is why Piccolo let him go against Frost and didn't Gohan say in episode 85 that Piccolo likes facing strong opponents.

In previous arcs but now they respect each other more now. There seems to be an unspoken understanding between the 2.

Agreed, changing her design to something different is so utterly pointless that I have no idea how some people came to his conclusion.

Most likely, she’ll wear a different outfit in the battle royal. Her purple outfit doesn’t look something suited for fighting and looks more like a regular/normal outfit, and that’s probably what she’ll look in her first appearance.

I thought it was weird Piccolo basically forfeited without much of a fight too, but anyway there's nothing to suggest Piccolo was facing stronger opponents after Frost, specifically when Champa and Vados were saying that he's their strongest fighter. I guess you can make he argument that Piccolo didn't hear it but he did say he has like Super hearing or something dumb. Basically Piccolo probably could have beaten Cabba. Magenta is questionable but if he insulted him like Vegeta did because Piccolo sometimes does that too he could have won that round as well.

It's really a shame because I like her Toriyama design so much more. There's no reason for her to be Brolli other than to please Brolli fans.

They ditched Gokû and Vegeta's new dougi and armor. There's no reason for Vegeta to go back to his antiquated Cell arc armor when Bulma made him newer, better armor.

What makes you think that was a choice made by Toei? It's possible, but Toriyama could just as easily have suggested it.

And they still used the new designs for two arcs, the idea that this design won't be used at all is pretty ridiculous.
They copy Toriyama's designs exactly, even down to blue hair for Trunks.
Plus the pony tail design doesn't look any more like Broly.

I remember reading that when Toriyama contributed the new designs for RoF, he said something along the lines of "So I designed these outfits...you can use them if you like or just use the old ones." So maybe he's stood by that position and Toei has just decided to go with the old outfits for whatever reason. Toyotaro probably just went with what Toei decided.
