Is this one any good? I understand it's easier to edit out as it doesn't have much battle. I think this could've made a much better introduction to the series if episode 1 was like this.

It was sarcasm, Ken, based on the fact the video used footage from the season sets. I'm just making a tactless, unnecessary stab, is all.Kendamu wrote:Duo, the manga isn't even framed like a TV show so no real comparison can be made... unless there's some "tallscreen" version of the series that I don't know about made specifically to accurately portray those tall, narrow manga panels.

We could go on all day about how the first voice cast totally destroys the re-dub in terms of vocal direction and performance, along with overall enjoyability and entertainment factor.Chibi Mystic Gohan wrote:Not to go off topic or anything... but Justin Cook's line delivery really pisses me off. I remember all of those lines the Jason Gray-Stanford way (i.e. the better way). Now that was acting.
But what would that accomplish? Well, might be fun...

My post was pretty much a joke, too. No worries.Duo wrote:It was sarcasm, Ken, based on the fact the video used footage from the season sets. Indeed! But we wouldn't want to derail the topic, so we'll save that for another day.Duo wrote:We could go on all day about how the first voice cast totally destroys the re-dub in terms of vocal direction and performance, along with overall enjoyability and entertainment factor.Chibi Mystic Gohan wrote:Not to go off topic or anything... but Justin Cook's line delivery really pisses me off. But I still miss my old favorite, "Kakarrot has FAILED us!" as opposed to, "Kakarrot HAS failed us!"
Meh.

How funny. I'd never thought one of my videos would end up here.bkev wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-JVi-oC6iiA

Interesting vid. If anyone out there has the patience, I'd still like to see a completely fillerless version of the SSJ Goku/Freeza battle after Namek's core has been blown away (even if it had to be edited that Gohan suddenly just showed up only for Goku to rise back when it looks like he's been killed). Even without filler, I just gotta know how long it actually turns out by itself, with that whole "5 minutes" angle.
