Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 86
We've got episode titles for 90-92, the tournament still isn't started by 92, though it sounds like it's close. I really hope they are using all this time effectively!
Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 86
Episode #90 looks like it might be a Gokuu sparring with Gohan episode. This makes me think we'll be stuck with more ill-place use of action animators, thus weakening the damned tournament even more. Oy vey.

It'll probably just be Higashide and Yashima.JulieYBM wrote:Episode #90 looks like it might be a Gokuu sparring with Gohan episode. This makes me think we'll be stuck with more ill-place use of action animators, thus weakening the damned tournament even more. Oy vey.

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 86
Tate's designs don't have to look like the source material, because there is no source material. Dragon Ball Super, the anime, isn't an adaptation, it's the original. There are character designs for the show, but they're not animation-friendly, so why even use them?

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 86
I was expecting the Tournament to start in late May, but judging by the new episode titles it will only start in June it seems. The climax won't happen before July at the earliest then.
Tiger Mask W will end in July and since it has a better schedule than DBS, maybe we could get some of its staff by then?!

A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

Considering that #66 had changes surprised they didn't correct this as minor as it is (talking about the fact Vegetto hair is still like he is in aura):

Anyway did we ever identify who drew these shots from #65?

Alright yeah that one makes sense, and I just looked at the entry in the OP and sure enough it is there are still a lot of styles I can't spot (tbh I don't think I ever will outside the obvious ones)!KameNinja45 wrote:I think the first shot was Ishikawa,Baggie_Saiyan wrote:Considering that #66 had changes surprised they didn't correct this as minor as it is:

I actually think I got that one wrong. I didn't crack Ishikawa properly until recently and knowing who he is now, that doesn't strike me as his work.

Isn't it Miuma Kenji?
Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 86
He wasn't on episode 65. It's probably someone like Kazuyuki Ikai or something, but I really don't know.Psykomatik wrote:Isn't it Miuma Kenji?

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 86
Nothing too amazing, but that was a solid enough looking episode. Outside of a few shots, Kitano(I'm pretty sure that was him) in the second half looked pretty okay too, kinda surprising. I'm pretty sure Higashide wasn't on this episode, so that's nice.
Nep looked pretty nice, didn't see any Shimanuki like was speculated. I think Higashide might be on the next episode.

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 86
Apart from the weirdest looking Jaco has appeared on the show in the very last few minutes of the episode, and some really funky looking art in the last 5 minutes, the episode itself was very polished for the vast majority.

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 86
Kitano was definitely on the second half, but looks like was mostly corrected by Ide. Lots of reuse shots, but overall a decent episode. I was not expecting much anyways. Also I had it in my mind that Kitano was going to be in this one for some reason.

Typical weird Kitano art eh?
. Good thing that this was just a filler episode. At least things are looking much better next episode!

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 86
weird thing is that some people like you keep calling episodes like this filler even when they are in the middle of an arc i would say it's not that important but absolutely not a fillersuperfan2024 wrote:Typical weird Kitano art eh?. For once I'm glad Kitano animated this episode, it was really boring, the most boring episode since the Copy Vegeta ones, Toei should let Kitano animate episodes that are boring/nothing special.
