They're looking at Gohan (see how proud they are?) representing the fanbase (mostly Gohan's) for he shall once again bloom this arc.

The camera angle though, why looking below, string resemble to looking at a baby, if it was gohan Vegeta would be cowering on his knees

Not necessarily, the way the statement was worded make it seem like they’re simply trying to tie/prepare Super to the end of the manga/end of Dragon Ball Z -- I.e, stuff such as Bra being born, Oob foreshadowing, etc.

Although, I do think there’s a good chance that the current arc will be the last arc before they’ll move past the 10 year gap, since there’s nothing left in it now that Bra is born. Ending the gap with a big tournament seems like a good way to go, too.

I have zero interest in Oob, Pan, or any of the “next generation” crap, so If they move past the EOZ and have them the main role, I’ll probably lost any interest in this series. I don’t think Goku being ditched as the main character is that likely, though.

What they could do is make Goku/Vegeta support characters like how Joseph was in JJBA Part 3, Jotaro in JJBA Part 4, Polnareff in JJBA Part 5.

Araki Hirohiko made the whole "Next Generation" stuff work by having one of the previous MCs turned into useful support characters..

If they want to focus on the next generation, which having similar thoughts to yours I will not watch either, they should end super with eoz..

Start a new series entirely and not mesh it all up in super, and the new series actually having preproduction will help also..

Yeah I'll likely drop it as well when they go past EoZ and change the main character to Oob/Pan or anyone not named "Son Goku" may watch eps from time to time if I hear it had a great fight or Goku pops out but other than that I'm not all in it for a next gen type, one of the reasons why I'm not watching Boruto.

Goku is the heart and soul of db the dude has his own holiday for crying out loud.
There are ways to have goku be there without making it be like gt 2.0

The end is near? Nah. I think that super will continue after EOZ, but still with Goku.

Toyo's comment can mean everything. It could mean Super is near it's end or it could mean they will go beyond EoZ. That Italian DB twitter account says that it seems as EoZ will still be the finale, though they could have misunderstood Toyo's words, which we don't even know what exactly they were. We should wait a little more for further clarification.

Actually no one knows anything. The fact that Dragon Ball Super is heading to end of Z (which is obvious that would happen) means nothing. Anything can happen later on.

Skipping ahead after the tournament of power would be the best way to open up new avenues of story telling. They're quickly running out of wiggle room to keep working in the time period before EoZ and the epilogue gives them at least two fresh new fighters to work with. Honestly, I feel like the writers are just hurting themselves if they don't get to that point.

Actually i read in an interview where Toriyama said that while writing Gohan's character daily he realised that he's not much of a fighter unlike his father,that might be the reason he couldn't keep Gohan as the lead and not the ratings.
