Gamecube

Post by Dayspring » Sun May 16, 2004 7:53 pm

I'm too lazy to look up on the net what's out on the GC so feel free to tell me. :D

Was just wondering what games were available on the Gamecube other than Budoukai 1. If it is the only one, any news when/if Budoukai 2 will be out on the GC? I'm asking because my bro is probably going to get a used GC for $40 Canadian. With a coupon at the store makes $35. Instead of me buying a new PS2 in order to get Budoukai 2, I'll just wait until he gets the GC and I'll buy the first Budoukai (if there aren't any other games on the GC).

Funny story behind the used GC: Some dumb fucks tried to screw over the rental company by buying the system so that they wouldn't have to pay to re-rent it after a week went by. They then tried to return it for a full refund on the last day of the month. Thing is, the policy states they'd get an exchange if it breaks down on its own during the first month, or a full refund if there's no other GCs in stock.
The suckers had to sell it back to him used since they needed the money.

What, every game? I know it has less available than the PS2, but still, couldn't you narrow it down?

In any event, get Mario Kart, Wind Waker, Super Monkey Ball, Metroid Prime, Time Splitters II, Soul Calibur, Mario Sunshine, Viewtiful Joe...you could try Rogue Leader...I just picked up Tiger Woods very cheaply (insert your own pun here), and I've found it to be enormous fun (and here).

What do you like?

I'm pretty sure B1 is the only DBZ game for the GC. IF B2 does get ported over it'll be about the same time that B3 comes out for the PS2.

Off the top of my head:

PS2 DBZ Games:
Budokai 1
Budokai 2

GC DBZ Games:
Budokai 1 (with cel-shading improvement over the PS2 version. Woo.)
(I'm pretty sure I read that Budokai 2 is getting ported across, but I don't know when. It makes sense, since the GC has sold in Japan. No idea if it would have any extras.)

X-box DBZ Games:
None.

GBA DBZ Games:
LOG 1
LOG 2
LOG 3 (coming soon)
Taiketsu
Super Sonic Air Warriors (I think that's what it's called).

Doctor: "Interfere? Of course we should interfere! Always do what you're best at, that's what I say."

There's also a DBZ: Collectable Card Game for the GBA. Based on the CCG. Duh.

And worth mentioning: Legendary Super Warriors for the GBC [ey, it's a "new" DBZ game] I've bought it last week, and it's pretty cool. Gotta love the cute little sprites ^^

So if you have a GameBoy Player with your GameCube, you can play the Budokai, the LoG's, Taiketsu, Supersonic Warriors, CCG & LSW [+ the 2 old DB games] ;)

The Collectable Card Game is actually a GBC game. I HAVE CAUGHT YOU OUT!

Although I think that "Legendary Super Warriors" is what I meant by "Super Sonic Air Warriors". So I lost there. But I win overall.

Ha! DBZ Collectable Card Game ís a GBA game, according to GameFAQs. And that's final.

And no, Super Sonic Warriors is the English version of Bukuu Togeki, the good DBZ GBA beat'm up [compared to Taiketsu, the Mortal Kombat-ish GBA game]

Legendary Super Warriors is a GBC game with cards. Maybe you're thinking about this game :P

Edit: maybe I shouldn't insert Dutch words in my English texts. Maybe.

You may be factually right, but who is morally right? I think everyone knows the answer.
