I feel the same way. The only arguments I ever hear against Colleen's Goku and Gohan are that they are grating (which I disagree with, but I guess I can understand), or that they sound too much like Luffy (which I think is a silly complaint for its own reasons).
That's the only thing that throws me off is they sound a bit like Luffy, other then that, I think she does a fine job voicing the Son kids.

They did it for Battle of Gods. The only way I could see them not being able to do that again is the timing of the original recordings being off, but they could have their udio people speed up or slow down the recordings as needed.
They only used Z audio in BoG because they had it already out the vault as they were remastering the old Z series for BDs.
That's only with Z. They also reused Dragon Ball dub audio for the events BEFORE Z, or did you forget?

VejituhTheWarriorGuy wrote:At Louisiana Comic Con this year, Sean stated that he records for Super in Los Angeles and Chris flies down there to direct him rather than having Sean fly up to Dallas to record. I find that pretty interesting and that's probably why that LA recording studio is credited in the dub credits for "Additional Recording". Kyle probably still goes to OkraTron because he does more than just Gohan for FUNi and they would have mentioned it on the panel. So Super is being recorded in the same city at two different studios for two different dubs for two different companies (Sean for FUNi's dub at North Hollywood Sound and Bang Zoom's dub for Toonami Asia at Bang Zoom)

Crazy
It makes sense that they'd do that. Rather than have Sean, who's mostly just a voice actor these days, be charged thousands of dollars to fly to Dallas, drive in a rental car to Flower Mound, stay in a hotel or motel, then fly back after his sessions are done, they take a cheaper approach by booking time in Cali, have Chris fly out there for several days, & fly back. Depending on how big Sean's house or wherever he's living is, Chris could save a few bucks by staying with his after sessions.

Could also be how they're gonna have Marsters record for Zamasu as well, since he lives there too.

What an episode last night! Sabat got to show of a different side of Vegeta and he completely owned it! From Babe to his delivery of SILENCE ha. And next week we got the Goku jumping through the wall bit  Forgot how fun these postBoG eps were!

Yeah Sabat killed it as Vegeta, the episode was already funny and he bought a whole new take to it while honoring the scene.

And I simply can not compute in my brain how people like the new Kid Goku voice. It is obnoxiously high pitched, grating, overacted and generic as hell. You may just say I have that 'it's because it's not the first voice you heard' thing but I believe I can be critical outside of my nostalgia.

I still prefer Nadolny's Gohan but the new one has grown on me slightly.

I don't mind the new Bulma but again the old one had a certain charm and a unique sound to her voice.

As for #18 I'd like to think the McCoy beats Clinkenbeard any day of the week for most of the population.

The original Kid Goku just sounds so warm and friendly and inquisitive but is also able to show great emotion like rage through the dub voice, and that signature laugh as well I just love it. You can tell that's Kid Goku. Looking back at it, it seem's all these unique voices just seem to get replaced with more generic sounding voices that don't identify solely with that character.

I agree. I've grown to really like Monica Rial as Bulma but Tiffany Vollmer has that same charm that you mentioned.

Nadolny will always be Kid Goku to me. It's a shame she got replaced because if she came back for Kai as Gohan I wholeheartedly think she would've freakin killed it.

With an accurate script Nadolny would have certainly nailed the Cell fight.

Sabat was awesome. His comedic timing and delivery was flawless. And Ian Sinclair continues to display his incredible flair as Whis.

Oh man Ian Sinclair and probably just slightly less Jason Douglas have been nothing but perfect in my opinion. Considering Whis shifts through so many different personalities (squealing like a school girl to serious expositins and telling off piccolo) he just nails everything and finds ranges within ranges. Incredible voice actor.

I gotta say the one week an episode has turned out a really good blessing in disguise, can't imagine the dub being as good as it has been if they had to rush out more episodes a week. Buu Kai they took 3 years to dub 66 episode as opposed to dubbing 66 episodes of Kai 1.0 within 13 months and that is why I think Buu Kai is a setup up from Kai 1.0.

69, actually. In regards to Kai, I don't exactly know about that. The only misstep I would say Kai had was that apparently they main writers being switched & that ended up having some translation errors, like Special Beam Cannon & Solar Flare being used rather than their original Japanese names. Other than that, the first half of Kai was still dubbed really well. The Buu Saga's DEFINITELY better than the first half, mostly because there's no problems with any minor recasts that they did, & that's coming off the first half still being really damn good.
Super's dub, I would say, for the first arc, felt a little rushed in places, mostly with some of the voice acting. The only actors I would say felt like their performances were rushed were Kara Edwards as Goten, as I've mentioned before that she constantly fluctuated between her regular Goten voice tone & a higher-pitched tone for him, sometimes between lines in the same scene, & Cynthia Cranz as Chichi, since it sounded like she'd either come off other recording sessions, or a bad case of strep throat. There's flashes of that for Cranz in Kai: TFC as well, but here, it's taken to 11. Both got better & more consistent as the arc went along, but they have a bit to go still. It's jarring when they recorded for not only Kai a few years before, but Battle of Gods as well. Kara herself came off, most likely, only came off recording lines for video games for Goten & she gave a MUCH better performance there, so it's even more confusing as to how she slipped up as much as she did. Hopefully she'll get more consistent as him. Since her Videl voice is essentially her regular voice, just slightly different, she's DEFINITELY at the top of her game as her, so no complaints.

Loving the dub too. The "Forgot My Tractor!" line is the first time DBS has made me laugh uncontrollably. I think Nozawa is a very good VA but I really hate her performance as Goku in Super. Sean is the man IMO
Currently watching: My Hero Academia

I think changing the way something is originally is wrong if its important, but seeing as it's just a joke it doesnt really bother me.

Mainly it was funny to me because I absolutely wasn't expecting it and it was just so ridiculous. It was funny in the sub too though.

I actually really love Nozawa's Goku in DBS and always looked forward to any Goku scene and same here. Schemmel is doing some of his best work as Goku in this dub, I mean that monologue in #11 alone!! It's even little stuff too like you can genuinely hear his hurt as Goku in #15 when he tells Chichi he has to train. He's absolutely crushing it, Buu Kai, the movies and now Super I'm just constantly surprised at how good he keeps getting! Which is why I'm confident he'll nail Black, he has Sabat directing too aswell as Nozawa's performance.

Couldn't agree more. Sean has got better and better over the years, and I personally feel he is now the best dub Goku going in any language.

Ian Sinclair and Jason Douglas are also the best Whis and Beerus in any language I've heard up to now. Both are just sublime, Sinclair's portrayal is pure genius - he nails each side of Whis's character with ease.
Douglas also has a certain panache with his delivery that just hits every spot.
