I love how Goku just laughs at the idea of being called evil and calls it "interesting". I definitely could never see this as being his reaction in the DB or DBZ anime(Japanese or Funi dubs).

I agree with some of their quote, but I'm more low key positive on Gokû this arc than enthusiastic. I find him interesting this arc and I want to see where they take him. I'd like to see him actually punished for his actions in a similar vein to how Sun Wukong was punished, but on the other hand they went out of their way to back away from trying to make Gokû the bad guy in the eyes of the audience so I don't know what they're trying to do.

A little late addressing it (15 pages in less than a day, holy balls), but this is absolutely the wrong way to regard and address your peers in this community. Please show a little more respect and a little less flippancy in the future.

I wouldn't be surprised if this tournament suddenly became a Baseball tournament as per Goku's request and Yamcha became the greatest fighter of all time.

But, honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if some major plot twist left Vegeta or Roshi out to allow for Yamcha's inclusion. It's been noticeable that power levels kind of don't matter anymore, so he might actually stand a chance against some of the random folks from the other universes before becoming too cocky and turning into the dead character who'll trigger Goku's next transformation and the suspension of the tournament.

I fully expect power to come into play again when it's needed. They're trying to sell the teamwork and strategy factor now, but I don't see that sticking for that long.

We see both of them in the opening and Vegeta fighting that...thing so I doubt that's going to happen.

He also made a cool drawing of him like getting ready to fight. I think that was a hint now. I thought Toei was gonna piss on him with the last jokes of him expecting the call, but he may have it after all.

I'd leave Boo out, he has already fought and the sleeping thing is the easy move.

From a story point of view, if someone storng is taken out for someone weak, that won't make sense in universe..
The strong fighter is chosen but plot takes him out to give chance to the weaker fighter..

Now why they decided to promote current team which was going to change from the beginning is something I am not sure of..
That's like promoting chiaotzu and berrus facing each other in a poster and showing us BOG instead, dosen't make much sense

2. Mid-battle, the fighters starts to tire and the team find some loop hole that lets them tag in somone else.

Maybe I didn't explain myself well,
What I mean is, say, if they decided to choose Yamcha instead of buu from the very beginning, ie they don't even think of including buu, then that won't make sense in universe..
But if they do include them and then plot take them away, that makes sense..

Simple, don't show one or two of the team members on the advertising, keep people guessing with marketing hints of who each member is gonna be. Then just when we think all the team member's places are secured, BAM, we're hit with the replacement.

Well the good thing about all this teasing about team changes is when the team does change everyone would already have it out their systems and this thread won't be a mess.
