I like both character designs and I didn't want to see one replaced by the other.

But U6 Saiyans are not exactly like U7 Saiyans. They are born without tails, and probably a lot stronger than the Saiyans on Planet Vegeta.

Well the thing that makes this tricky is Roshi being turned into a Chinese Vampire. They feed on ki and in some fiction become more powerful because of that. Thats going to make Roshi's power fluctuate a lot especially if he feeds off of Goku. That would also play havoc with Goku's power to. Also Tien is fighting normal Roshi while Goku is fighting MAX power. I think we are better off just wait to see how things play out on this one.

I like all the characters chosen too. The only way I'd make it better is if Roshi got replaced by Yamcha, and 18 by a potara fusion of Goten and Trunks. But, I see why they did what they did.

Why a potara though?
It's also having the same time limit issues..
Unless you want it for a little bit extended time, which won't matter in the long run, they will defuse before the tournament times up in both cases

Kinisking probably forgot about that garbage potara retcon.

Ok just though of something....did they cut Broly up and used the pieces to make two new characters?

Both have names based on vegetables from the same family as brocali.

Caulifla inherited a similar hair style and the cocky, trash talking attitude Broly had after breaking free of the mind control and before loosing his mind completely.

Kale inherited Broly's passive nature while under mind control and Broly's unbridled rage and insanity along with the Legendary Super Saiyan form.

Ether way they have the potential to be better characters then Broly ever was.

I didn't. I'm pretty sure the tournament is 48 minutes. That's way too long for Gotenks at full power, or even at normal power. Potara is an hour.

To the discussion on the previous page. SS has always been pretty bs. It's supposed to be unlocked through rage, but it's not like they didn't get angry a billion times before that. We don't even see Goten, Trunks, and Vegeta transform in the manga iirc.

I love Caulifla's design from that model sheet. Nice balance of cute and cool. Plus, another Chrono Trigger design making its way into the Dragon Ball world. I wonder if anyone's told her that she has Lavos parked on top of her head?

They forgot to remove Damon, but didn't forget Botamo and Magetta, that's the funniest part to me.
