The only thing that annoys me is majin boo falling asleep again. It's not creative at all. This is the third time. It's just annoying now.

Maikioshin (probably butchered your name, my bad ) people would riot if Gohan was taken out including me. I'm glad it's not him.

Yeah, Gohan is pretty popular so it wouldn't make sense to get rid of him. I just think he is the least interesting character and power wise, personally. It should have been Muten Roshi who has served his use in the franchise.

Not sure how you can be less interesting than Tenshinhan personally. If anyone should have left it should be him. He hasn't been interesting since he became a dull good guy.

How do you reconcile Goku interacting with Freeza? This isn't Piccolo, Vegeta, etc. that Goku could act all friendly/chummy with even when they were still villains.

I think that's the point. They've been portraying Goku this arc as this guy who doesn't seem to care much about anything beyond getting a good fight and this will probably only feed into that.

Freeza's interactions with Frost should be fun. Freeza's uncooperative nature should make for some tension in the tournament.

I think Freeza will not get any stronger.
The situation was so urgent, that he needed to call a villain like him, precisely because there was no more time left.

So he should be on the same level as he was in his Saga, and that's one reason he did not think they called him Cell. He would not have time to get stronger despite having potential.

Do you think he will train? The Golden Freeza form is going to be a problem.

Freeza is stronger. Just plain and simple. Not agreeing with the decision just saying , if goku is looking for strong people to help defend his universe (Freeza the defender of the universe...heh.) then it's not to illogical to bring freeza up. At the very least as an idea.

Freeza hates being both 1) dead and 2) in Hell. He's also terrified of Beerus, and his movie introduced the idea that he could accept the idea of self-improvement. I don't necessarily think he needs to live through the end of the arc to be redeemed -- who knows what'll happen, and that's one of the things I'm excited about -- but I think this tracks with absolutely everyone's motivations. That's one of the reasons I though it would fit as soon as the arc was announced.

But neither Piccolo nor Vegeta murdered Goku's friends directly. I also consider Piccolo separate from his father even if he retains his memories. I always thought it was noticeable Nappa/Saibaman killed all the heroes and Vegeta didn't at all, even before Toriyama decided to make Vegeta a returning character.

It's certainly not unjustifiable, it's just bound to be the most forced thing ever.

Damn. I was really looking forward to seeing Boo fight seriously on the protagonist side, ever since Super was first announced. I got my hopes up for the last tournament. It just feels a little cruel to do the same thing again. I would have rather seen Tenshinhan or Roshi fail to show, but I am looking forward to their chance in the spotlight.

However, unlike quite a few people here, I'm not at all upset about Freeza being the one to take his place. I think that will be a more interesting team dynamic. The fact that he only gets 24 hours means he doesn't have to be "redeemed." And seeing him go against Frost will be neat. (Will Frost have an answer to his "Golden" form? Will we get a tidbit about their race, maybe a name?)

I would like Boo to get his chance to shine before the series is over. That will make up for this, in my eyes.
