Toriyama kind of reminds me of American directors, writers, etc. who try to relive their past glory with new material but it's never as good. A lot of DC and Marvel writers come under heat for similar reasons as well as movie directors like James Cameron and Ridley Scott.

Okay, we get it, you don't like the idea. However, there's nothing actually stopping it from turning out wonderfully, seeing as the entire group's existence is on the line. Joking around about this is fun and all, but let's not judge the entire concept based on an episode description. Why not see if they can pull it off first?

I personally don't see this as a salvageable concept. When I first heard there was going to be an evil Goku I was turned off, but I knew there were ways it could work and it sorta did work. With this concept though I see NO way that it won't piss me off. Trashing Buu AGAIN to revive a character who's been revived way too many times already in impossible to do right. If they somehow do make it work in a way that doesn't annoy me immensely I'll eat my god damned cat.

The real problem is that he shouldn't have been killed again after his revival. If Toriyama wanted to give him the Vegeta treatment and keep him alive due to his popularity just give him the Vegeta treatment.

I can't believe this bullcrap is happening. This dude has literally came back more than 3 times already. I'm tired of it. Freeza in his one arc is all I can tolerate. I didn't like ROF as it was, but this? This is ten times worse. I don't think anything can save this.

That was far too late though. At that point the hype for the ten fighters was already high. They should have mentioned that someone could be replaced from the start.
