Cause by all means tell me screwing buu over who's has more going for him in terms of abilities for a guy who just there to provide needless drama on the team.
I kinda like the idea of Freeza being on the team. Brings some tension if he'll fuck over the Universe 7 fighters or not. But yeah, I am bummed out that Buu isn't fighting anymore, but I guess I'm not too mad since we saw him fight earlier on in the arc.
Yep a guy who pretty much hates everyone especially goku and vegeta wouldn't think about possibly screwing them over even if it means death.
This predictable as fuck.

A number of posters in here need to reign in their attitudes. You should be perfectly capable of voicing your negative opinions on the matter without sounding like you're having a meltdown on Twitter, and in some cases insulting your fellow fans in the process.

It's Tomioka Atsuhiro, so I really can't see this actually failing. In fact, I'm actually looking forward to it if he and Nagamine are passionate about it.
I think what this news has truly proven, though, is that literally nothing truly is worse than having to listen to Sumitomo's music.

Given that the humans had almost no part in Dragon Ball since the Cell Saga, I will gladly take them over Buu, and I like Buu.

No sure if you're joking, but Toriyama stated that Freeza would never surpassed Beerus no matter how hard he trains.

Goku barely took a backseat in the Buu saga, at best he took a leisurely stroll round back while everyone else cried for him to come back.

I'm waiting, but I worry I'm giving this arc more patience than I probably should be. If this arc was a standalone one-cour series I'd have been gone already; it's harder to quit longer-running shows and that's why I rarely pick them up. I'm going to stick around until I find out what the next arc's about and let that decide. If this arc is the last hurrah for the main Z cast and if the next arc is EoZ material then I'm probably going to cut out around then.
On hiatus.

I mean I legitimately can't think of a single way that this would work well since they're replacing a character who needs more spotlight with a villain who's gotten way to much focus recently. It's just an unsalvageable concept. I'm open to ideas though. Got any?
Does this sound good?
Freeza joins the team because they promise that he'll get a chance to have a one on one duel to the death with Goku after the tournament, while in the tournament we get some interesting interactions with Universe 6 and Universe 11. Afterwards Universe 7 wins, either Freeza decides to let go of his revenge and leave the planet to rebuild his empire, or he and Son Goku have a finial battle to the death.

This piques my interest at the prospect of having Freeza return once again. Not because Toei is overly abusing him, but the potential hilarious interactions between Goku, Vegeta, and Piccolo. Freeza's newfound power is going to be useful as he's certainly one of the strongest in Universe 7.
The Universe 7 team is certainly very stacked in term of power and talent. I'm excited to see how the tournament plays out with this kind of team.

The real problem is that he shouldn't have been killed again after his revival. If Toriyama wanted to give him the Vegeta treatment and keep him alive due to his popularity just give him the Vegeta treatment.
Not in Freeza's character. You basically have to rewrite him not to be too dumb to live. This is the same moron who shot an energy blast at Goku after he lost half his body and arm. Vegeta works because he knew when to fold, unlike Freeza.

I like the idea of someone dead entering the tournament. I think we all forgot how abundant the afterlife is as a resource when the universe itself only contains ~20 something planets with intelligent life.

No offense, but this is a twitter meltdown. The only thing that surpasses it is the Vegeta not killing Freeza meltdown and the Piccolo not beating Frost. Freeza's race tend not to bring out the best in people.

When this was just a rumor, I thought there was no way I would enjoy seeing Freeza again, but now that it's confirmed, I can't help but look forward to it. I think that, if nothing else, there's at least potential for good comedy here.
I guess, at the end of the day, I'm just too optimistic not to give it another chance.

Freeza sells merchandise so of course he's going to come back. this isn't the 1st time and won't be the last time. This whole revival has been focused on fan service so is this really that surprising ?
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

I wonder if Beerus will end up erasing Freeza for good after it is over.

How about no? I mean GT was also called "Goku Time" and that was also a bad thing. Other characters need spotlight. To say otherwise is absolutely insane.

Are people not moderately amused by the prospect of the audience being asked to cheer for Freeza against a team of real-deal altruistic superheroes?
That's classic Dragon Ball madness.

I'm
very amused by the prospect, but now that the immediate shock is over, I'm kinda back to not caring about the show at all. Hope it turns out good, though!

If Freeza actually shows up to this tournament wearing that business suit I'd be ok with that.
