This running joke of Boo falling asleep perplexes me. Honestly it has Mr.Toriyama written all over it. Just for the "screw you" it is to the fan-base, it already has value.

There is no doubt in my mind that Majin Boo sleeping through another major arc was an intentional rib to the fanbase from Toriyama. He loves doing trollish shit like that. Toriyama makes sure he satisfies himself before anyone else.
