That actually makes me feel better about the Freeza thing. Fukushima usually does semi-non important episodes.
Hmmm... In this arc, he wrote really important episodes: Bra's birth, Gohan's training to regain his Ultimate form, and Tien and Kame Sennin's recruitment.

Oh yeah Toei messed up the credits for the Gohan episode forgot about that, that was definitely more than important, damn.

Wait, how do you know if Yamazaki Hideki's work is any good? Could someone please share any examples of his work from Super or elsewhere? Can't find any of his work on the booru or anywhere on YouTube, although he is listed in some important positions on his myanimelist page, so he seems experienced.
Feel free to correct me if I say something wrong.

I think he's just a guy with connections or something.

Animation supervisors since the beginning of this arc:
077 - Yashima (7 weeks)
078 - Kitano (4 weeks) & Ishikawa (7 weeks)
079 - Ono (5 weeks) & Sawaki (new) & Tate (7 weeks)
080 - Wanpack (12 weeks) & Manabe (5 weeks)
081 - TAP (5 weeks) & Shimanuki (5 weeks)
082 - Nii (new) & Itai (6 weeks) & Kitano (4 weeks)
083 - TAP (2 weeks) & Nashizawa (8 weeks)
084 - Yashima (7 weeks)
085 - Ono (6 weeks) & Ishikawa (7 weeks)
086 - TAP (3 weeks) & Tate (7 weeks)
087 - Manabe (7 weeks) & Kitano (5 weeks)
088 - Wanpack (8 weeks) & Itai (6 weeks)
089 - TAP (3 weeks) & Nii (7 weeks) & Nashizawa (6 weeks)

Average turn-over:
- Wanpack: 10 weeks
- Yashima : 7 weeks
- Ishikawa: 7 weeks
- Shimanuki: 7 weeks
- Nashizawa: 7 weeks
- Nii: 7 weeks
- Tate: 7 weeks
- Manabe: 6 weeks
- Itai: 6 weeks
- Kitano: 4 weeks
- Ono: 5 weeks
- TAP: 3 weeks

If we follow strictly that planing, we have:
090 - Shimanuki
091 - Yashima & Kitano & Ono
092 - Ishikawa & TAP
093 - Tate & Manabe
094 - Itai
095 - Nashizawa & Nii

But, according to NewType:
090 - Shimanuki (9 weeks) & Yamazaki (new)
091 - Yashima (7 weeks)
092 - Itai (4 weeks)
093 - Ono & Kitano

Not Tate, not Manabe, not Ishikawa: The tournament is starting really, really soon. I believe Itai will have TAP for 092, and Ishikawa will be on 093, but Tate (at least 8 weeks) and Manabe (at least 7 weeks) are being saved for the moment.
How they're leading this is fascinating, really.

Considering what we know about 93 I don't think there is any reason to have Ishikawa on top of the 2 that are already on it, I'm willing to bet he'll be on 94. It sounds like by 93 there is almost no time until the tournament, so I'd guess 94 is when they get there and the stage is set and all that jazz, which would be a perfect episode for Ishikawa, then start the tournament on 95. I'm still slightly hopefull that Karasawa will come back and be on 95, but I wouldn't be surprised if he's gone for good and we get Tate on that episode and/or maybe even Yamamuro.
Also your list is a bit wrong, you forgot the break between 81 and 82.

Assuming Yamazaki becomes a regular I wonder if they are going to treat him well with his time between episodes, it's been 11 weeks since the last Super episode he worked on, so it'd be great if he always got 9+ weeks.

I noticed Fukushima is mostly a miss when it comes to comedy.

Wrote the filler episodes between BoG and FnF, and those episodes were actually good in the Funi Dub.

He also wrote Gotenks defusing after landind a crotch shot on Tagoma, the Kaiosama episode which 18 was the only enjoyable part, and we learn that he wrote the last episode which had Roshi looking like a rapist.

Just make him write serious stuff like Beerus hakaishin Zamasu, that was really good stuff.

Yup, here's the tweet.
Looks pretty different from what ended up in the episode, is that just a rough version of his work before he finished it or did he get corrected?

Definitely not genga, so I guess it's either a layout sketch or just a rough. Quite interested to see what his work looks like in this upcoming episode.

He's pretty much matched is Z style finally, faces are a tiny bit fatter than they used to be and his noses aren't quite the same, but overall he's pretty much there.
I hope they continue to give him enough time to polish his work for all future episodes.
My god! This looks awesome! If only we had this art in every episode I would freakin love this show! :D

So while on the Freeza hype or de-hype I found these does anyone know who drew these and is the first one fan art (because there is no logo present so I think it maybe)? I really like them!

Apparently Nakatsuru might have done the second one?

It's the same terrible artist you were criticising a few pages back for their awful Cardass drawings.

You've actually posted a few by them recently. I was confused since I'd seen you dislike a huge chunk of their work in the past!

What are the odds of Yamamuro stepping down as character designer, anytime soon?
