From what I heard the only reason she was replaced for Kai 1.0 in the first place was because she wasn't available at the time.

Buu Kai started dub production in 2013, and BoG in 2014 so it is safe it say McCoy wasn't free until 2014 and that is probably why she has been in everything after. Though with Super on going if McCoy gets busy again we'll probably get Colleen back as #18.Freeza Soldier #156 wrote:It's Clinkenbeard in TFC as well. I don't see the issue with it. I like it a lot. If anything Meredith McCoy's 18 is the one I like less. It's a bit deep not young enough sounding if you ask me. I think it fits alright if you throw that outta the way, but Collen does it to the T.Dpc292 wrote: God i hope that doesn't happen. Her voice doesn't match 18s at all.

Meredith sounds like she's showing no emotion but at the same time as much emotion needed for each scene that she's in. Coleen puts way too much emotion into her scenes and also sounds like most other characters that she usually plays in anime.Bansho64 wrote:I don't see the issue with it. I like it a lot. And? Colleen's voice has deepened considerably, but doesn't sound too old. It's perfectly fine for a person that age imo. McCoy's......not so much.HeroR wrote: 18 is in her 40 or 50s.

My main issue with Colleen is when she yells, its so cringeworthy and painful to hear.Bansho64 wrote:And? Colleen's voice has deepened considerably, but doesn't sound too old. It's perfectly fine for a person that age imo. McCoy's......not so much.
I was comparing McCoy performance in Kai and Super compared to the old Funi dub, and she really sounds like age has caught up on her or its just me that likes the japanese voice of 18 better
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" FUNimation Dub Official Discussion Thread
Pretty sure they kept Colleen as 18 in TFC because she had too many lines as 18 & it'd be weird to have McCoy back as her, so they kept with the continuity set up in the series. Though that doesn't explain Brad Jackson being back as Oolong, but then again, he wasn't really in any dubs for a while until he had that bit part in the One Piece dub when they fired that back up in 2012, then he was back full-time as Oolong. Plus, his replacement only had a few lines in Kai, so it's not like anyone would miss him.Baggie_Saiyan wrote:Buu Kai started dub production in 2013, and BoG in 2014 so it is safe it say McCoy wasn't free until 2014 and that is probably why she has been in everything after. Only dubs that matter are DB, Kai, & Super. Nothing else.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" FUNimation Dub Official Discussion Thread
Hey guys, I just want to put this weird discussion about Android 18's voice actor to a halt so I could ask you guys something. In last week's episode Dragon Ball Super, we saw the (full) debut of Caulifla (who, I'm not gonna lie, is really hot), and she acts like a real punk. Now the question I wanna ask you guys is, when The Universe Survival Arc gets dubbed, who would you guys want as the English voice of Caulifla? My ideal voice would be Jamie Marchi, because her voice would really fit with her punky attitude, but that's just my opinion. You guys' turn.
Caulifla best girl!

Didn't think this was worth making a topic for, but I've been watching just YouTube clips of the dub and is it just me or is Sabat back to making Vegeta sound gravelly again like he did pre-Kai? I guess I felt the same way in the BoG movie and then he was fine in RoF. I determined it was more due to the fact that Vegeta is basically just yelling for the entire BoG arc whether it be in the movie or anime and he doesn't really have many calm lines. I dunno, am I just crazy?

At South Texas Comic Con, Sean says that he records Super remotely meaning that he slipped up when he said that Chris flys down to LA to record Sean. They do it over the internet which is pretty cool
