I'm surprised people are just now realizing that the Freeza thing is legit, hasnt it been legit since the official trans literally said "You are the 10th warrior, Goku visits Freeza" it doesnt get more obvious than the title.

Because the episode summary didn't indicate one way or another, just Goku wanted to get Freeza, we have episode titles like that in the past for example #53 where the title talks about revealing Black's true identity but that didn't happen until #61, so it could have been assumed that this episode was a one off they went to recruit Freeza it didn't work they went elsewhere, we obviously now know that isn't the case now.

The episode with Black was called "Revel Black's identity, Off to U10" or something like that. Reading the full title didn't give a feeling that we would know who Black was. Only that they were trying to find out who Black was. I always read it that way.

Toyotaro is not Toriyama, but he is learning fast. His words, he has passed from Mr Satan's level to Yamcha's. I think he was too modest, but that's good, an arrogant guy is the worst that could happen to DB.

He is involved with some designs now, Toriyama is counting on him, he is already creating for the universe. That's important, if he ever is going to continue on his own.

He's done an amazing job with the Manga, he knows the characters as they really are and how the DB universe works. Good characters, good fights and coherency. Not to speak about the art. His version of Toriyama's plots are way better than what Toei brings us. Toei is the one full of fan service, lack of coherency and they don't know how to write the characters.

With all Toriyama has said about him, if he is gonna pass the torch, is gonna be him, which is great. But I don't see why Toriyama would leave yet. What he doesn't want is to write the manga, but he is fine providing the plots. Whenever he leaves, I hope he puts Toyotaro in charge. We'll see what he brings, certainly not some of the bad suggestions I read before.

That's subjective and not something many agree with. And Toyo have 'tributes' in the way of copy panels from the original manga and his own work isn't fan service, but what Toei does it is. As for Toei can't write characters, Toyo's Vegeta is still stuck in his Cell/Buu Saga mindset.

And we have seen what Toyo can do by himself, it's called Dragon Ball AF, which which is extremely 'fan-servery' and not very. coherency.

Toyo made AF a lot of years ago. We can see improvement from his first chapter of it to the last. Even more if we compare it now, as he said, his level is higher, probably because the influence of Toriyama.

I can say my opinion in my comments, that's why they are mine, as you do. Like saying Black is worse in the manga, which I don't agree at all.

Nowadays, Toei is much more fanservicey than Toyotaro, he follows the plotlines faithfully and is able to mantain a higher in universe coherency.

And unless you have seen Toriyama's outline, how do you know he's "follows the plotlines faithfully" other than his word on the matter. And "mantain a higher in universe coherency". Anything with Super Saiyan God Vegeta in it breaking any coherency in my book for several reasons.

I'm was talking about AF in that paragraph. Look the first chapter and the last, there is a clear improvement. Much more if we compare it with Super.

Toyotaro copies poses, I'm not mad about that like many fans. For example, he comented about giving Frost the same pose of Freezer in the interview. It's not like he couldn't give another one, he has more than enough skills for it, but it was a nice homage.

The in universe coherency is much higher in the Manga, like the power levels. In the anime, there are still discussion about what really happened with the god ki of Goku in BoG, even where does this leave the Blue form of Vegeta, as it's supposed to be SSGSS, even in the film. And why should Goku even use the SS forms anymore in the anime, he internalised the god power to the Base, didn't he? Who knows, but he uses them.

Also the amount of use of the dragon balls, which created problems with the birth year of Bra. Beerus wished to Shenron go away, come on. And Bulma had a radar, they didn't need Shenton in the first place. I don't understand what they were thinking about. I give this example because using the DBs is not a minor decision in universe, it affects future arcs and Toei shouldn't do that on its own. Also the filler episode after the Zamasu arc.

The Freeza interactions have so much potential with almost everyone on the cast. I really hope they take advantage of this upside, I want some juicy dialogues and true content towards Freeza. Vegeta and Kuririn for example shouldn't have any love for the dude.
