So how is Gohans base equal to Gokus post Whis training?

I certainly didnt get any indication that he was on the ssb level, by that logic future Zamasu would be on SSB level. In fact I'd wager zamasu did better against SSB Goku than Gohan did. We know SSBKK is really powerful though, it knocked the stank out of merged Zamasu. I think Gohan did really well, hes definitely up there with god characters. Right now I'd rank the warriors as: Goku >Vegeta>Freeza>Gohan>17>Piccolo>18>Krillin>Roshi>Tien

It wouldn't make any sense for Ultimate Gohan to just be SSJ2 level. Base Gohan and Base Goku were equal so SSJ2 Gohan would be SSJ2 level naturally. We were just saying a couple weeks ago that Piccolo was around that level even....which makes it odd that Base Goku stopped his blast but whatever.

Looking at the clip again I'd say he was shown to be around Blue level at the moment. I don't think there was any comment about Goku holding back like he did with Android 17 but he could have been I suppose.

Obviously it'd be pretty stupid for Gohan to be that strong but that's how it looked to me right now.

Thats not my problem to explain now is it? It ain't my theory and I dont have to give evidence for it.

I just watched Goku go from base, to SS2, to SSB and then SSBKK. Thats a normal progression of transformation in this series and Gohan said he only started fighting at full power when fighting SS2 Goku.

You tell me were this "Second Base - Saiyan Beyond God" fits in there please.

Goku didn't "need" to go kaio ken Gohan asked him to use his full power so he did. Gohan asks Goku to take the fight seriously so he goes blue and then Gohan says i said use your full power so then he goes kaio ken and one shots him. he probably could have easily handled Gohan in blue but wanted to show respect to his son.

So, seems Roshi is indeed above Tien. Ultimate Gohan is ssj blue level and Goku 100% has a new form up his sleeve.

Seems Goku will be the star of omniversal tourney.

All things point to Goku having a new form. Goku about to go passed his limits vs Toppo, but the fight was stopped. Jiren being a tier above Toppo and ssj bluexKK and the fact that ssj blue has become so casual. Plus, Toei need a new transformation for toys n stuff.

Edit: People really dont know the stance and attack Piccolo used this ep? So sad. That is the same technique Piccolo used at the 23 budokai, when he wiped the island clean.

Was it addressed in some form in the episode?

Oh thanks, I'm not really a manga reader, but that's cool to know.

Part of me thinks Piccolo only got Gohan up to maybe between SS2 and SS3 Goku tier, and he broke the wall to SSB tier during the fight itself. Base Goku has to be much stronger than his buu arc self no matter what. Piccolo's super charged attack didn't hurt him. I think he might be around majin buu level in base or something.

Goku does not have a new form, for now. Against Toppo, he talked about kaioken.

Anyway, Tien is a joke.

Be fair, the poor guy got pulled into a fight that was way more serious then he expected to be and had to fight two guys much stronger then him, who had also been practicing team work.

Tien didn't have ghost of chance, especially when its Gohan he's taking shots from.

But it was in a tournament setting, Krillin would have done much better with his techniques to keep up

Krillin's been training, Tien has been running a school and is in a fight were he is the only one who has no idea what the stakes are. Is it any wonder is not performing at his old 100% best?

Edit: Tien was likely expecting sparing, not a prelude to a life and death battle for the universe.

He's strong... but compared to Future Trunks, he'd lose. I don't think Goku needed Blue, he just did cuz Gohan asked him to go full power.... Gohan seemed evenly matched with SS2 Goku, SS3 could've done the job in my opinion.
Future Trunks >> Gohan for now.
