Re: Official Unofficial "Dragon Ball Super" Power Level Discussion Thread
Lets all look at it from a visual view on how they fare'd against SSJB.
17 V SSJB>Krillin V SSJB (KHH clash)>SSJB V Gohan> SSJB IT.
Gohan and Piccolo teamup definitely is better than Goku and Tien's but thats only because Gohan and Piccolo already trained a tag team battle, Goku's and Tien's came outta nowhere.

I think Goku was putting more effort with Gohan than he was with 17. I don't think 17 is on Gohan's level at all. You forget Goku can alter his power output in blue!OLKv3 wrote:17 did better than Gohan against SSB Goku though, I'd rank 17 above current GohanMagmonKai wrote:I certainly didnt get any indication that he was on the ssb level, by that logic future Zamasu would be on SSB level. In fact I'd wager zamasu did better against SSB Goku than Gohan did. We know SSBKK is really powerful though, it knocked the stank out of merged Zamasu. I think Gohan did really well, hes definitely up there with god characters. Right now I'd rank the warriors as: Goku >Vegeta>Freeza>Gohan>17>Piccolo>18>Krillin>Roshi>Tien

Also, Gohan was the only one Goku used Kaioken against that alone shows the message that the show is trying to convey.MagmonKai wrote:I think Goku was putting more effort with Gohan than he was with 17. But #17 was not shouting out "use your full power" at Goku during their match, unlike Gohan.MagmonKai wrote:I think Goku was putting more effort with Gohan than he was with 17. He pulled out SSJBKK because Gohan was asking for his full power, even I wouldnt like it if Goku didnt answer him even if it is a 1shot, Goku is not a fan of 1shotting his opponents so I'm actually surprised he answered Gohan's.incarnati0n wrote:Also, Gohan was the only one Goku used Kaioken against that alone shows the message that the show is trying to convey.MagmonKai wrote:I think Goku was putting more effort with Gohan than he was with 17. For now I am in the camp that 17 and Trunks are above Gohan still. I also think Golden Freeza would also be stronger. I am in the Maybe around between SSJG and SSJB camp from this showing. KK was used merely because he asked for it. I don't see him below SSJ3 personally.

Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

Re: Official Unofficial "Dragon Ball Super" Power Level Discussion Thread
Gohan barely rivaled Goku SSJ2. Even his father asked him to take it more seriously, and he did not even react to some attacks.
It is very exaggeration to say that Gohan is level Goku SSB. If two blows defined something, then we would have Kuririn Dodoria level at the beginning of the Freeza Saga
I really thought I would reclaim this EP, but for me it was better than expected. Gohan did not rival Goku SSB as I thought, actually he was pressured by Goku SSJ2

As it stands for me.
Goku
Vegeta/Frieza (this is purely because we dont know the full extent of the Golden Forms power)
#17
Gohan (Due to him not actually having a true battle against SSB, so we cannot say he's on par with #17 yet)
Piccolo
#18
Krillin
Roshi/Tien (Due to the nature of their fight I'm not happy pinning down who's stronger then who just yet).

17 Got no hits on ssb Goku unlike Gohan. Also no indication that Goku was holding back as ssb this time around.Lord Frieza wrote:But #17 was not shouting out "use your full power" at Goku during their match, unlike Gohan.MagmonKai wrote:I think Goku was putting more effort with Gohan than he was with 17. You cannot say that when they clashed once for a few seconds. Thats very inadequate data to make any kind of estimation upon.incarnati0n wrote:17 Got no hits on ssb Goku unlike Gohan. Based on the Preview...I'm not holding out much hope for Frost. Looks like he's spent his time running rather then training.
But such tough circumstances can act as a fire to help temper a persons steel.

Android 17 only matched a suppressed Super Saiyan Blue Goku.
Ultimate Gohan matched a Super Saiyan Blue Goku who likely wasn't holding back if Gohan was telling him to use his full power.

Yep, Gohan is not SSJ2 tier. He's SSB tier.
Just before Gohan and SSB Goku clash, Gohan tells him "Observe my full power" and they fight on par.
I wonder if Gohan amplified somehow his Ultimate form's multiplier. That's the only explanation I can think about. Goku never said he got stronger, only that he got his fighters spirit back after the tag team match.

Any consensus on how strong base Goku and Gohan are after this episode?

It's hard to tell. I'd peg them somewhere between SSJ-SSJ3 Gotenks.Beyond wrote:Any consensus on how strong base Goku and Gohan are after this episode?

Before the fight starts, Goku orders Gohan to use all his power.ZombieVito wrote:Yep, Gohan is not SSJ2 tier. He's SSB tier.

After using his '' Ultimate '' form, Gohan says that is his ultimate power. He did not restrain himself in any moment, and even if he had restrained himself he would NOT MAKE NO SENSE save as much power as he was being pressed by Goku and evil Reacted to some blows.
He took two shots that meant nothing to Goku SSB, who did no damage and had no effect, barely threw him away.
You can not think Gohan is Goku SSB level being that it was a few seconds fight and he was competing with Goku SSJ2 before
Re: Official Unofficial "Dragon Ball Super" Power Level Discussion Thread
Lol, did we watch the same fight? Gohan was struggling with SSJ2, and asked Goku to go full power, then he got one hit before Goku used Kaio Ken.
17 pushed Goku into SSB. Goku wasn't expecting to need SSB for 17, and was surprised he got pushed to that point
17 seems stronger than Gohan at the moment. It makes sense, Gohan only trained for 9 hours, 17's been training for a decade+

"Observe my full power" is pretty clear cut to be honest. That line has absolutely no purpose if he already was fighting at 100%.TheSaiyanGod wrote:Before the fight starts, Goku orders Gohan to use all his power.ZombieVito wrote:Yep, Gohan is not SSJ2 tier. He's SSB tier.

Thats not the point, the point is that a few second clash is NOT a fight. How can you even begin to say Gohan is SSB level when he has not actually had a real fight with one? Just a quick clash, separate and then Goku really dose go all out and Gohan is one shoted.ZombieVito wrote:"Observe my full power" is pretty clear cut to be honest.
