I'm no expert, but if you read more then you'll see that Japan was close to surrender anyway, and the A-bomb was an unnecessary action by the American army. The fact is when you look at it the Americans have this bomb and they wanted to show if off to look big to the rest of the world, the "japs" as many Americans call them (still to this day) was thier best excuse without getting the world to say America has gone to far this time..
I don't hate America, i love the place. But it's one of the least ethical places to live on the planet.

No one here is denying that the bombings happened or that it was a tragedy. People are just offended by the way you threw around the word "rape" so casually. Hell, the events themselves aren't something to just randomly bring up, either.

I really hate to play backseat mod, but this is ridiculously off-topic. World War II ended over sixty years ago, and I'm 99% sure that no one on this forum was even alive back then. Toriyama wasn't even born until ten years after it ended.

Less history and politics, more Dragon Ball. On that note, I don't think it's been mentioned, but the image of everyone giving Cell the finger is the title page to Chapter 371 (which is the one where #16 steps in to defend #17). And it's definitely meant to be humorous, since they're all SD.

And unfortunately, my internet died on me for a bit and I couldn't fix my post because I knew someone was going to bring this up. -_- Funny also how I just knew it would be Olivier.

It was just as much the stubborness of Japan's military leaders that caused the bombings. Remember, it took *2* bombs. The Americans even said if they didn't surrender they'd drop another one. The leaders were just absolute arrogant idiots for continuing to think they could hold out. Look I'm not absolving what the Americans did. I still think it's awful, but *both* sides are responsible.

Plus my point earlier that you quoted me on, was made more to show the original poster that his argument with comparing the Iraq War with the Second World War makes absolutely no sense. He was making it seem like the Americans were these awful war tyrants during their fight with the Japanese.

I understand that you seem to often feel you should play "devil's advocate" in debates, but don't mistake a person's ignorance and generalization of a subject by defending them.

I never said America was the only bad one. (i never said anything about Japan being bad i know, but i was focusing on America)
The fight against japan was a mess just like the war now.
Japan got raped in the slang meaning of the word.

I've not said anything that is not fact, just because i did not add every bit of information does not mean that i'm ignorant of it. Also i tried to put us back on topic but you seem to want to argue about this, the problem is theres nothing to argue about because i've said nothing false.
