Yeah, in the One Piece anime, there's the 4-episode filler arc that was aired to promote Strong World called the Little East Blue arc. At the tail end of episode 429, the last episode in the arc, Shiki & his crew appear on-screen for a minute, then the events of the cameo continue in Strong World. Personally, I hate that mini-arc's placement because it seriously bogged down the pace of Impel Down, but it's ok on it's own. Scott must've recorded his part for it when he recorded for Strong World for when FUNi finally dubbed that episode & released it.
That's all I meant.

And Sabat is a great actor. What's your point?

My point is that although Goku, Gohan and Goten share the same voice in Japanese, Nozawa has a great deal of talent to give them different deliveries. And I don't have a problem with Sabat as an actor. He sucked back in Z, but now he's great.

Have you even seen the Season 3 dub of DBZ? Most of the cast was inexperienced in voice acting and it showed. I don't see how Sabat didn't suck in that dub.

I can't imagine how awkward it would have been for McNeil to go to Dallas to record Funi Kai and return to Vancouver to record Ocean Kai. While I would have loved if they got McNeil, Sabat has improved immensely.

All right. It just doesn't seem economical to me to fly him out for a day to Dallas just to record one take for a few minutes of one episode of a show to me. If he had more roles t be recorded, then it would make more sense to me.

Right before they summon Shen Long Bulma's dad says this gem "Shenron will have his hands full bringing all those people back after what your husband did." As far as I know Bulma & Vegeta are not married in this part of the story. Here's what was said in the original dub: "Hurry and call the dragon so we can wish all those poor people your Vegeta destroyed at the tournament today back to life." While he does say your Vegeta it's not implied that he is her husband, just someone she is seeing.

I recall it being mentioned in the manga or sub somewhere. Also the guidebooks definitely mentioned it.

No, I get that, but it seems like it would've been better to do as I thought they did rather than record that one line at a later date. Yeah, they didn't have the rights to the batch of episodes they do now at the time for dubbing, but there's really no doubt they wouldn't in the future. Just seems like a bit of wasted money & time to me.

Kinda interesting how the dub's now referring to 18 as "number 18" rather than "android" in Kai &, I assume, Super will as well. It's good for translation points.

In tonight's Toonami episode I'm starting to realize how badly Toriyama nerfed Eighteen the moment she became a mommy. When previously to defeat an Android you needed to be become an ascendant Saiyan, now not only is base Goten and Trunks matching Eighteen, they're manhandling her pretty bad. I'm like talking to the screen saying "Stop holding back, Eighteen" because there is no reason for her to have gotten so weak.

She's holding back trying not to kill. Also, in the Buu saga Trunks and Goten were super strong prodigies. Not to mention the anime made Goten and Trunks do much better, she was in control the majority of the fight in the manga, until they went SSJ and fired off that unusually powerful blast
