I didn't see any major breaks, tears, dirt, macro-blocking or Nappa 'toothpaste effects' in the FUNI vids I uploaded. I could have EASILY gotten some of those though because they exist. But its also impossible to grab a minute clip from the FUNI vids without finding that stuff as it stands. If you think the FUNI video I uploaded looks like shit, then guess what! That's what the season set looks like compared to the Dragon Box. Those are average scenes in BOTH the widescreen and the dragonbox. The individuals that own both can back me up on it.
Yep, this much is true.

I think the only way to get "unbiased" footage though is to random.org an integer to use for an episode number, followed by two clock times to use for clip duration. Not saying you should waste your time doing that, but it's really the only way that those in denial would ever believe it.

Wow, I fell in love with the DBox now that I saw it for real.

I always agreed with BrollysKin up until I saw that in motion. Wow, is all I can say. Thank you ect!

While I'm on this subject does anyone actually have a clip of the actual over 8000 (Or so they say) from the Dragonbox set. Because I've always been a fan of the over 9000 trilogy and wanted to see it in actual motion <^_^>

Thankies if anyone could upload it <^-^>

I have a compressed clip ready to go (or one that's within 15 seconds of being ready to go), but not the actual MPEG2 stream. But I make the argument my encode isn't very distinguishable from the actual MPEG2 stream. Case in point:

One image is from the actual MPEG2 stream, the other is the same frame from my own encoding. Can you tell which is which without looking at the URL/filenames?

You might be able to if you stare at the 'noise' within the picture. But if you want the clip like that, let me know (because in motion, its even tougher to see the differences)

I had this comparison made up already because I wanted to see how close I was visually between the two. The third image is a difference map (i.e. - differences between the two images are white... identical pixels are perfect black. Minor differences are grey. The results are as follows:

Not much of a difference. I'll go ahead and put up the clip. Use the same information from my very first post to logon to my ftp server and grab the clip.

Hmm.. i think I'll put up a similar clip from Dbox Movie 12 as well

EDIT: Whoops, i took down the logon info, didn't I?

Its FTP, you really should be using an FTP client. Assuming you're the only one on, you should get about 43K per second. If you're not getting that, them more than one person is trying to grab 'em.
