Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
I think the thing i'm most excited for in the coming weeks is the new opening animation. I'm pretty confident that adding Freeza is not the only thing they'll change, they will show the universes with all their contestants and who will fight who etc.
As we get more information and get closer to the tournament the current opening animation just feels very odd and that it doesn't represent what we'll be seeing very well(kale standing with the pride troopers etc.) It was probably made just to hype us initially. I don't think they will replace the animation (Goku vs Jiren etc) but i think they will replace all the still shots with things more representing what we'll actually being seeing in the tournament.

All of the relevant fighters so far are in the opening, their faces are just obscured in shadow. I wouldn't count on anything changing other than Boo being replaced with Freeza, and perhaps a short new cut involving Freeza. They aren't going to waste resources on anything fancy, we already know that at least some the staff is beginning to feel the pressure of working on the tournament.Pantheon wrote:I think the thing i'm most excited for in the coming weeks is the new opening animation. It's just replacing still frames with more still frames it's not that much work. You think they'll just not put Caulifla in the opening? Regardless of how she fares in the tournament she is great marketing material.Jinzoningen MULE wrote:All of the relevant fighters so far are in the opening, their faces are just obscured in shadow. Kale seiyuu is the same one that voiced Isane in Bleach, Shirahoshi in OP.
Beerus is such a savage that wanted to Hakai Krillin for quitting the team, idk but I like how realistic Beerus looks to be portrayed.
I just hope Krillin isn't thinking of quitting because he is scared yet again!

Let's just hope the character that will replace Kuririn won't be randomly chosen or yet another villain from the past that is not Cell.
Still, why should Kuririn be the one quitting? Shouldn't be Muten Roshi?

Krillin's not gonna leave; he had three episodes dedicated to him getting back on his feet; second only to Gohan.
I wish Roshi would quit, but he's a creator's pet the same way Freeza is and why both of them are on the team.

We don't know if he's actually quitting though.Grimlock wrote:Let's just hope the character that will replace Kuririn won't be randomly chosen or yet another villain from the past that is not Cell.

Honestly, I don't believe it to be anymore than just drama to force the real reason for the team and entire Tournament of Power to occur. Like, it'll have Goku think about Freeza as a replacement but Krillin (and extension 18) won't be happy and tell him to find someone else or just enter with 9 members since it is just for prize money. Goku will continue to argue about getting Freeza and Krillin will then threaten to quit, Berrus stepping in and threatening to Hakai him if he does so, the team now wanting to know the truth about the tournament if Berrus is this involved for just "prize money". Goku then spills the beans about universal erasure and no one else quits, knowing how serious this actually is.

Krillin and 18 aren't quitting, we know they're in the tournament.

Not quite "Justice League" since the Justice League is pretty much entirely split up in the Injustice universe. This is hardly new though since the main universe's Harley's been an anti-hero solo character since at least 2011 and also on and off beforehand.Simere wrote:Harley joined the Justice League in Injustice and I loved it.JulieYBM wrote: The Joker has become so boring that having him turn a new leaf and join the Justice League would be the best thing to happen for his character.

Beerus threatens Krillin? for once I'm not against that, I hope he puts him in his place.
I just noticed that Kale has an extra pupil in her eyes.

Is that a female cyborg?
Well the designs of both cyborgs look better than GTs(Giru and his parents).
I'm interesting in seeing their captain in the episode.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Not actively. A few years ago I tried my hand at a few things, but I couldn't stand the bad art, paneling and writing. I now stick to the films and television works, although those all suffer from the same issues, too. There's some neat ideas floating around between all the different mediums, but holy cow, they all get squandered on overall bad projects. I eventually said "screw it" and started working on my own version of the DC Universe for an eventual fan fiction project.SaiyanGod117 wrote: You read comics? I would like that to see that too, then next thing you know he turns around and backstabs all of them. I don't think he would really add anything to the team in the long run.
