He beats Tien by only one slot and by a couple dozen votes. And neither of them were lighting up the polls. Roshi also scored higher than both Tien and Yamcha. Also, Toriyama never named Roshi as his favorite character. He's favorite cycles between Goku, Tien, Piccolo, Mr. Satan and now Jaco.

If you're going to say Toriyama's play favorites, at least know what his favorites are.

Make that 12 for Yamcha, when the match starts and everyone gets ready to rumble, the mere pressure in the ring kills Yamcha before anyone even had a chance to come in contact that leads U7 at an early disadvantage of 9.

The thing about Boo is there because of misdirection, and shows how unreliable he is, and of course everyone would question why Boo isnt in it so they had to get rid of that doubt in peoples mind and came up with (Boo sleeps for months when tired)

WTF, there is legit over 30 completely new characters in this arc and people are saying they are out ideas because they brought back one character?

by that logic pokemon is out of ideas since they bring back old pokemon in every new game.

The reason was to have a bait and switch.

Which is fine once but this is the 3rd time they've done it. He was a sleep during Freeza's attack and again during Champa's tournament.

He's getting his own manga so its author makes 11.

His own manga where a normal high school human takes over his body and uses it better than him. Not exactly points towards Yamcha. He's only awesome when someone else is driving.

Also, Resurrection 'F' wasnt a bait and switch since no one replaced Buu. The same with the Champa Saga.

I'm sorry but that's a awful idea ooshi made that atrocious bardock special that everybody hates and toyo just made Goku on par with merged zamasu and base goku and vegeta survive hits from him.

not to mention the manga is boring as hell, the characters lack all character and all the enemies are weak beyond belief.

Again, that Bardock special was for DBH, Ooshi also did the Yo Son Goku and Friends return chapters.

What made "DBZ" great was Toriyama + his great editor who IIRC it was Morishima?, once he got rid of him the quality decreased..

In DBS it should be Toyo+Ooshi+ DBRoom, Toyo provides basic ideas/outlines, Ooshi provides the comedy relief aspect/gags, and DB Room help to extend Toyo outlines to make them entertaining.

I know this is highly impossible, but if DBS ever had Susumu Hirasawa instead of Summitomo for OST, his theme songs couldve helped the Black Arc reach Namek Saga level of Quality for example.

Amen! I'm starting to get the idea that they're fresh out of new ideas at this point. The series should end soon. So far it's been nothing but nonsense. Don't get me wrong I will always enjoy the show, but it is gotten ridiculous: Power Levels and Scaling nonsense, Recoloring of same old forms, Retelling same stories, bringing back old enemies, the only new story in Super was the Battle of Gods. Everything else is just a bunch of nonsense.

That's a load. The Champa arc introduced new characters and expanded the universe, the Future Trunks arc had new characters and a plot very different from the last time Trunks showed up, and the current arc has a ton of new characters and the tournament is not like anything in Dragon Ball before it. Freeza coming back doesn't make this a retelling of any existing story, especially since he's not the enemy. Freeza's return is interesting this time because it's a completely different situation than we've ever seen him in before.

The Champa arc was very meh...they introduced a Winnie-the-pooh knock off, a guru knock off and now apparently there's a whole universe full of them, and then a freeza replicant, a tween androgynous looking saiyan, and a Cell pallet swap with time powers. Really cool stuff. Future trunks is a rehash---"oh look my timeline sucks please come save it again." He should have never ever been re-introduced. Goku black is some fan fic idea made real--although I really loved Goku Black-- it still don't make sense. Maybe I've just gotten to old to watch this show, but the true genius of the show is given all of this it still manages to excite me and make me want more...I'm drawn by the nostalgia of watching when I was younger.

Ooshi does not even do anything any more and Toei would never take orders from a fanfic writer like toyo nor would they choose him over Akira. Akira only had a few editors and they barely even got involved that much besides the one during the cell the saga who kept telling to change everything because he didn't like how the characters looked.

That yo Goku special was terrible everyone I know hates it to. Tarble is a garbage character and has not been seen since that special because Toei knows people think that he is a terrible character and don't like him.

Your idea is completely impossible and will never ever happen anyways so I'm not gonna continue this debate.

You're just wrong about the Future Trunks Saga. In the Android/Cell Saga, Trunks tried to change the past. In the Future Trunks Saga he went to the past to get help to fight in the future, not changing the past. The only thing the two have in common is time travel.

An evil version of the main character is older than crap. It isn't something fanfics invented.

As for Jaco, I'm pretty sure outside of the hardcore fanbase there were more people wondering who he was than cheering him up.

Toyo literary jacks and traces over Toriyama's art many times in every single chapter to, not to mention all his characters moves are from toriyama or toei. Toyo is not creative at all.

Please. Only the hardcore fan base gives two craps about "power levels". Fans were happy to see they're favorite characters fight again for the first time in decades, especially fans of Roshi since he haven't fought since the 22nd tourument. And no cared about Yamcha that much and saw his excluding as a joke.

People who didn't know who Jaco was cheered him, which was why people were surprised. This was in American movies to boot.
