You can never go wrong with Tate or Highashide, especially when they team up. Episode 65 looked really good, for the record.

The message I recieved from the ending of the arc was that even if you stuff up colossally, the God's will always be there to solve your problems for you, meaning everything you do is irrelevant, so just let the Gods handle it. Trunks didn't try, the victory was given to him through an asspull that makes no sense. They even managed to make death matter even less than it currently does, after all, they can simply just go to another timeline. If you wanted to make it a remind that just because you try hard, doesn't mean you will succeed, then don't give them the illusion of victory, make them lose flat out, and make them actually try, not win through some random asspull that came out of nowhere.
In other news, Ajay uploaded a scene from #65 by Naoki Tate and Futoshi Highashide to the Booru and it was accepted.

Zen'o didn't really solve everything since wiped the entire timeline, rendering everyone deader than deader. And the entire situation was the gods' fault to boot.

Trunks did try and that Spirit Bomb was everyone trying to help him.

Those souls Trunks fought for are gone. They're never coming back. All Trunks got were people similar, but they're not the same people. That's like saying Present Bulma being alive renders Future Bulma's death meaningless. There's a reason why Trunks was crying at the end.

It was an empty victory.

Goku barely took a backseat in the Buu saga, at best he took a leisurely stroll round back while everyone else cried for him to come back.

They could've executed it way better, but the schedule is pushing the quality way back.

My opinion about the writing..
Just like in RoF movie, why Goku that have acquired the power of God is almost on par with Golden Frieza who inly trained for 4 months?
The manga explains it because both Goku and Vegeta haven't mastered SSB yet, and the last chapter told us that. Not some asspulls like in the anime.
We shouldn't be going off topic, but the anime explains it just fine, Freeza is a mutant who never trained a day in his life, so his gains in training are proportionally larger. If anything I think the "Mastered Blue" is more of an asspull, especially since it comes out of nowhere in the middle of a fight.

Maybe it's not rushed now, but I'm pretty sure it was rushed before.

For sure. I'm guessing Tomioka is to thank for this.

Guys let's try to stay on topic. There is almost an entire page just with long arguments that are not related to animation. Seriously?

A guy on DeviantArt takes some shots from DBZ and re- draws them to make them resemble Yamamuro's current style (you know with highlights, lego hair, Yamamuro's noses, colors like Super, etc) What's your opinion, do you think they accurate?

Pretty accurate. Goes to show how bad the colors and the overall character designs are.

Loving that last Goku updated pic. It reminds me of the Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans special on Raging Blast 2 (love that game)

The biggest issue I have with that art style is the line weight. All the lines are very thin and have uniform thickness across the whole drawing. It makes the picture look cheap somehow.

What's up with all those off-topic arguments. Go somewhere else to talk about it.

Yeap, he made this cut:

I love that special too. Looks awesome sometimes.

My goodness, I love that cut. That explosion at the end is A-MA-ZING. You can feel the powerful wave.

I can't believe Dragon Ball was able to achieve such an incredible level of animation. That colour palette and movement... let's just make a Tate church, what are we waiting for?

Yeah, Toyotaro has absolutely no idea on what he's doing with all the Blue/God back and forth BS he's pulled already. He's clearly just making up stuff on the spot.

But to be fair, isn't making stuff up on the spot usually what Toriyama does?
