Is Slim Boo the same as Evil Boo without his evil?

I mean, he's trained to realize his potential with the Kaioshins still inside, which made him tall and fit like Evil Boo, although the latter didn't wear a cape and a vest, but resembled the pure entity that he was about to become.

From what we've seen of Buu's power in the Tournament and in Sparring, he seems incredibly strong and I'm certain he has surpassed Evil Buu.

I personally don't think the gap is that large. Fat Buu is over 2x Mr. Buu, and Super Buu's body was better for fighting and he was stronger than Fat Buu, but I don't think it was by a crazy amount. Maybe 2x stronger at most. So maybe Super Buu is like 5x stronger than Mr. Buu, but anymore than that is kind of pushing it imo. It's possible but there isn't enough evidence to warrant such a gap.

Yeah, that's what the Z fighters thought in the beginning. They also thought base or at best SSj Gotenks could handle him. Guess what, they were wrong. There's this thing called power reserves you know, characters have variable levels of power which they tend not to show all at once. Freeza, Cell, Buu - all the same. So yeah, going off early statements about Super Buu you might be right, but stuff like Gotenks needing to go SSj3 to match Super Buu in battle speaks for itself. Super Buu's full power may therefore be 8x (SSj3's multiplier over SSj) of what they originally thought it was.

Even if you don't go by SEG's multipliers, you need to acknowledge that:
- Super Buu was initially stated by Piccolo to be able to kill SSj Gotenks, necessitating that the boys go into the RoSaT to train. Fat Buu on the other hand was considered within Gotenks' power to handle right off the bat.
- After their training, Piccolo thought they might have a chance against him in SSj (or according to some interpretations even in base, supporting a much smaller SSj multiplier for fusions)
- Then it turned out he had reserves, Gotenks needed SSj3. Which - no matter how you look at it - should be several folds over SSj in power.

It's small but essential details like like this that a lot of DB fans tend to disregard or overlook. It's pretty much the same story as people saying SSjG3 Trunks is stronger than Cell, but forgeting entirely that Cell can like, power up.

Baes Gotenks got stomped by Buu, and ssj Gotenks never proved he could beat Fat Buu. Imo he would of lost too. And ssj3 Gotenks may of been stronger than Super Buu.

Statements by numerous characters suggested that Gotenks wouldn't have any problems against Fat Buu at all. Afterwards more statements suggested that post-RoSaT SSj gotenks was believed to be a match for the as-of-then Super Buu. These are clear indicators of power standings here.
