Recently one of the Re-dub lines made me laugh.

As Chaouzu is on Nappa's back about to self destruct, Gohan turns away, only to hear Piccolo yell "Don't look away Gohan!, HONOR HIS BRAVERY"

I found it hilarious, just how horrible and ham-fisted the delivery was, the re-dub seemed intent to make Piccolo as wussy as possible, as fast as possible.

I can't believe I forgot that one. The way he says "HONOR HIS BRAVERY" is really corny.

You can hear him say that here. You have to go into the video though. It's not right there: http://youtube.com/watch?v=dhSrBUzFROw

The line is in the Saban/Ocean/first try of Season1. Though I must check out the redub to compare delivery.

(I think Tanooki Kuribo's video sums up a lot of the dumb moments as far as the early dub edits are concerned).

Oh god

that was so awesome :D

Krillin not destroying #18 when he had the chance because he wuvs her.

Really, the Cell saga was just chock full of dumb decisions: Vegeta letting Cell become Perfect, Krillin not destroying 18 (thus allowing Cell to become Perfect), Gokuu giving Cell a senzu bean (fairness really shouldn't be a concern in battles where the fate of the Earth is on the line), Gohan deciding to toy with Cell instead of finishing him off....I'm sure there's probably even more :lol:

Videl wearing a Saiyaman outfit and doing those stupid poses. TV and movies only of course, she'd never do that in the manga !!!

Jeice - "Time to put some PAIN ON THE BARBIE!"

Also, re-dubbed madness. "Dippin' in the egg nog"...? lol, what does that even mean?

Let the dippin' begin. Funny.

Actually, that's how I feel about the whole Buu arc. Vejita going Majin over an emo grudge? Goku actually agreeing to fight him when he knew what would happen if he did, and leaving his still-rusty son and an apparently powerless deity to deal with the consequences? Goku deciding to NOT finish off Buu when he had the chance because he wanted to pass the responsibility of defending the world to the (not even pre-teened) next generation? (I mean, c'mon, who in their right mind leaves anything that pressing on a couple of KIDS, Super Saiyajin or not?) Gotenks not going full-out on Super Buu at the beginning of their bout? And a whole bunch more BS...

Egh... the list of stupidity is near endless with this story arc. Just what the hell was everyone thinking at that point in time?! @_@;

And the funny thing is, I actually consider this arc to be one of my favorites, too. Le sigh... v_v
Art, etc. links taken down for now. Will be updated at some point. I dunno.

They'd be refering to the alcoholic kind of egg nog there, I'd bet. :lol:
