Don't see that happening. No way we're losing the U6 characters for good
Maybe what with all the universes at stake, killing off people by ring out is just a prelude to the eventual destruction they would face anyway. If U6 dont win their gone for good anyway.
I'm saying Goku is going to use his wish to bring back all the Universes that are destroyed, so I don't think your speculation is going to happen
IMO U6 has gotten way too much development to be discarded after the arc

Ok while I think someone will try to fix this buuuut just wishing it will just piss off one or both Zeno who will do it all over again.
You know as much as I would like Yamcha to have a place in this team I really don't like that Freeza is going to betray his own universe, like many said before: the dynamic of him having to cooperate with Goku and cia would be something entertaining to see. It seems like Toei/Toyotaro are playing safe there, sadly.

Are you kidding? Yamcha by the Android arc is possibly stronger to solo the Ginyu Force, there's no way Jaco is beyond that level, mate.

Guys, I'm going to be straight with you. If you feel the show has gotten 'silly' ... it hasn't. You're just 'too old for this shit'. Seriously, 95% of the people in those boards do not fit the target demographic of the show, so don't expect the show to be 'everything you hoped for'. I'm referring to the people here who expect Super to be rich with dark moments, serious storytelling, meaningful characters etc etc. It won't. It's a show for kids. A show for kids being kids. Everyone in those boards has a manchild in him/her, clamoring to get out, and that's fine. But having unrealistic expectations (such as believing the show grew up alongside you) is naïve at best. Honestly, do you take seriously a story where the supposed God of Destruction halts his urges to blow up stuff in order to eat ice cream sundae? That's the show's silliness at full force, take it for what it is. The show hasn't matured one bit, so don't expect it too. Again, I'm not saying that's a bad thing. I'm saying *that* is DB and always will be.

Did Goku mention he would only be around for 24 hours? Are we to assume that the deal isn't he win for us and the SDB will be yours so you can wish yourself back?
Frieza is Evil. It would be out of character for him to all of a sudden get chummy with the U7 fighter's. Did people really expect him to become another Piccolo or Vegeta? The thing that makes Frieza great is his role as a villian , I don't want to see a good Frieza I want to see the arrogant back stabbing villain that he has always been, that's what makes him one of the most iconic villains in the entire series. And to be honest Frieza deserves a chance at being a legitimate threat after the underwhelming ROF arc which kind of hurt the character.

I think Freeza told him to use the Earth Dragon Balls. Which is a great con for Goku considering Freeza doesn't know about the revival rule. The Earth DBs can't bring him back again
Anybody else thinks this is a way for Toriyama and TOEI to not have to come up with really strong fighters from each universe to fight. Like after designing 40 jobbers, he was like fuck how do I make this interesting? I know I'll bring back Frieza and make him fight for one of the other universes.
Chuquita wrote:I really hope these leaks are real; Freeza betraying them that early and joining Team 4 sounds wonderful considering I don't like the idea of him as part of Team 7 at all.
I'd hate it if this leak is real as it takes away what makes Frieza's return this time actually worth a damn.

HeroR wrote:The characters in Super can work with Goku and they're treated like equals to him. Goku just being in the room doesn't take away from the character. In Z, the characters were so depended on Goku that they couldn't go an episode without mentioning him in some way even by hoping he will arrived, get better, training to get stronger, our last hope, being like him, ect. Goku was wanked to hell in Z, even when he wasn't in the room and everyone else was secondary to him. In fact, this was a major issue Goku had, which is why he didn't want to do anything in the Buu Saga.

Freeza betraying the team and going off to another universe is something I thought might happen, but I'm surprised it happened before the tournament even started. Wow.
Also you guys do realize Freeza's wish of being brought back to life would still be granted by the Super Dragonball's right? So Freeza likely doesn't care what universe he fights for if he gets his wish, and him betraying Goku and co. is perfectly in character.
Also my boy Yamcha might finally have a chance now.

Why are you putting this on the two T's? This is way too much of a big plot point to not be in Toriyama's outline.

I didn't want Freeza to return again at all, so my thought was more bargaining with myself on "well if this has to happen at least it's this instead of that".
It's an agree to disagree situation I guess.
If they had to bring back a former Z bad guy, I'd rather have had Cell. He's had less reappearances than Freeza has.

Here's what I think will happen, freeza is going to backstab universe 4 thus removing one universe from equation and increasing the chances of 7 winning
The Lord moves in mysterious ways but you don't have to. Please use your blinker
I wonder if this is all last minute changes by the writers from whatever Toriyama's original plan was.
First Buu gets replaced, then they choose Freeza, then Freeza leaves too? What the hell? And they keep throwing in all these Yamcha jokes? Something about this all feels fishy.
Sodhi wrote:This actually gives consequences for bringing Freeza back. I like it.
This...because IF Goku does wish all the contestants back to life, that would include Frieza. So actually if Frieza is smart he might want to go the other side.
