Everyone is building off the mouse god of destruction's saying he has a plan for these episode titles. I'm not sure but they seem to good to be true, universes coming on Earth to compete for Freeza or to sabotage? It sounds weird.

Judging by the preview and assuming the news are true, it could go like this:

- Quitela uses Sidra and the desperate U9 (they're lacking members) to sabotage U7 and maybe get rid of both at the same time;
- Freeza showcases a strength they were not expecting, they realize he's not in good terms with his team, Quitela decides to offer a deal instead.

Even if those are fake this would be a rather logical sequence of events, really.

Also in regards to Freeza being on another team, you have to remember he's still fighting against all the other Universes too. Freeza may still agree to work alongside Goku/Vegeta until most of the fighters from the other universes are knocked out before he goes after them. It's a thing they usually do, "Let me take care of all these other guys first, then we'll fight" type of deal.

I only hope Gohan makes it to the end of the tournament though. They built him up to much this time to not have him there at the end. I hope he wins. Or Yamcha. Either Gohan or Yamcha winning the tournament would be a dream come true.

If yamcha does end up on the team, I wouldn't be surprised to see him winning the tournament by accident/gag, because of something like him being beneath everyones notice and end up being the last one in the ring as a result.

I could see that being the punchline to this long joke that is, no one caring about yamcha.

After Monaka technically "won" the Champa tournament, and Mr. Satan constantly saving the Earth, or Yajirobe helping defeat Vegeta...it's about time Yamcha got his moment of glory.

The closest we have to that is Yamcha helping to defeat Cell even if it was anime only.

Wouldn't he have to survive until the end? This isn't the same as the Monaka gag in U6 where the last opponent is just going to job over for Yamcha. At this point Yamcha is about as likely to be on the team as Oolong.

It's very easy to see him not being knocked out if all the other fighters are going after each other and knocking themselves out. For example all the super powerful fighters will be going after Goku, Vegeta, Gohan or each other...it's very likely all the humans, Piccolo, etc. will be going after the weaker fighters like Gowasu's team or stuff like that. That's how I can see everyone getting a moment of glory rather than Roshi, Tien, etc. all knocked out quickly making them pointless.

At this point Yamcha is about as likely to be on the team as Oolong.

A guy who expressed interest of joining the tournament for 3 episodes, is a known fighter throughout the entire series, is as unlikely as someone like Oolong joining? What.

That's why i said that he would be below everyones notice. Like everyone is to focused on the other fighters, like Goku who all the other universes seem to dislike, and Yamcha just happens to survive based on luck. It doesn't make much sense, but it sounds like a Dragonball Joke.

Because Goku told Freeza the best warrior gets the balls. All he would have to do is wait it out, take on the most tired fighter and boom victory.

Yamcha is just not a worthy replacement of Boo, Freeza on the other hand is, the dynamics they could do with a black sheep inside the team is a lot better than having Yamcha who's only known for his death pose, a legit sub just turned into a gag, my whole hype got flushed in an instant if those leaks turns out to be legit, been a long time since I've been this pissed.

BTW has there ever been a leak of 5 episodes before?

They cant use Gotenks because of the time limit, God knows what could happen if they defuse while the tournament is going on.

That's an absurd statement. Of course power matters...it's called the Tournament of POWER! Why would it not matter, and why do we have literally 5 power houses on the team.

Well It's not about everything making sense by bringing who can punch the hardest. It's about what would be the more entertaining or interesting option. Yamcha would arguably be more entertaining that Buu. Not that I'm fighting for yamcha being on the team, I don't care either way. But if they are going the route of more interesting then the team isn't going to be full of all powerfull godlike characters.

Thus Roshi and Krillin being on the team.

Yeah, but they're not going to enter with just 9 fighters. If Freeza really does betray the team and Buu isn't going to wake, there's nobody else to use. If they wanted to bring in a new major alien from U7 we never saw before, we would have known about it by now. Also both Beerus and Supreme Kai seem to think there's nobody outside of Earth to use, so they don't have many choices.

As for "power doesn't matter?" The moment Roshi was considered for the team is the moment that line of thinking went all out the window.
