Theories about Steamy-Form Goku in Opening 2/Ending 8?

It was recently brought to my attention in a seththeprogrammer video that this Steamy Goku in Ending 8
is also in Opening 2.

Just wanted to know if there were any fan theories about this.

This is basically the thread about Goku's new form theories, as for me I think thats just a visual holder for the actual form, once it makes its debut in the anime they'll change it to the new form.

I know about the 18,000 "GOKU NEW FORM!! OPENING 2" threads, I wanted to know what everyone thinks of this steamy look.
Then again, placeholder makes sense.

Seems a lot like the recent "100% Super Saiyan Blue" from the Manga, where Goku was trying not to let his Ki leak. Just kidding, Goku's actually a titan.

This could just be me but to me the placeholder idea makes no sense for ending 8 considering we're getting a brand new ending in July when the tournament actually starts, so unless they reveal the new form this month (highly unlikely) they wouldn't be able to change ending 8 to contain the non placeholder version of the transformation

Thank you! I'm amazed I'm still around too sometimes; time is strange. I almost left in early 2012, but then the BOG movie was announced and everything that snowballed after. It's difficult to imagine getting 10000+ posts in two years, but I'm sure some have done it. I'm planning to stick around at least until I know what the next arc in Super after the tournament will be. If we hit post-EoZ or, more dramatically, scrap and start fresh with a new cast I may head out. My two favorite characters are the only big things tethering me now.

I agree, I feel like a new form would have a likelier introduction in an arc with a big main villain, not in a tournament arc (but I could be wrong).

At the very beginning, I figured that Goku may find a way to tap into a power similar to Gohan's, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Perhaps it's similar to Toyotaro's "Perfected" SSB, where you not only prevent ki from leaking, but supercondense it into your own body to an extreme degree. Either way, unless he's going to discover this ability in the tournament, we're going to find out very soon.

This is very true. Back when a 2D MMORPG named "Endless Online" was popular, I wound up with over 6000 posts in the course of a year thanks to my Forum-Whoring. I'm beginning to do that here.

Goku and Vegeta, she was quite down before when Vegeta was too daddied up, now that he has fire back in him she was overjoyed with it.

I feel like it'll just be Goku with his SSJB hair going color red, I always believed SSJG itself should be color red, blue is just a variation of manipulating God ki (just my headcanon anyways)

I wouldn't be too surprised if they changed the hair style, Golden Freeza has a subtle redesign past just the colour, plus Black had that one hair strand in Rosé sticking out.
