Every volume has seen sales growth in Japan so far in terms of the first week:
Volume 1 - 29,995
Volume 2 - 56,947
Volume 3 - 92,114
You have to wonder with the longer and better Super gets, just how much more the manga will sell.

I think it'll definitely have a cap. The manga can only make it so far while it's still lagging behind, not to mention that comics, at least in the west, aren't very popular compared to television nowadays. The marketing for it is also pretty weak, tons of people outside Kanzenshuu still don't even know this side-product exists.

You bring up some good points. The Future Trunks arc is still going on in the manga, while the anime is just 2-3 episodes away, at the absolute best, before the next major arc truly officially starts.Jinzoningen MULE wrote:I think it'll definitely have a cap. In the manga, they have that conversation before Buu even arrives. They're already Vegetto when Buu arrives.

I even looked in Herms "strength checker" thread [manga only] and the quote whre Vegeta said Goku held back super Saiyan three wasn't even in there.OLKv3 wrote:It's anime only.Miracles wrote:That's what's up. Thank you.OLKv3 wrote: It's the official chart.

The scene he's asking about is anime only, since they don't have the convo in front of Buu, which is what he's looking for and it's what I clarified in the post you quotedNoah wrote:If they had this conversation, then it's not anime only.OLKv3 wrote:It's anime only.Miracles wrote:BTW...Does anyone know when Vegeta was scolding Goku in front of Ultimate Buu about holding back Super Saiyan 3 in their battle was that anime only or was it in the manga?

This sanga better end this month. I'm sick of it honestley, plus the SsjB ful power thing is nonsense.
I just want to see Zeno scare the crap out of Black and Zamasu and the Tournament to start.

Mastered SSB is great, one of the best things in the arc. Instead of rage powering, the opposite, some kind of calm powering, gaining control instead of losing it. I love it, conceptually and visually, how he absorbs the blue ki.Zamasu55 wrote:This sanga better end this month. I'm sick of it honestley, plus the SsjB ful power thing is nonsense.

It looks like a difficult thing to do, he clearly has not learn to use it properly yet. He struggles a lot and can't mantain it for long.
The nonsense was the SS Ikari.

In the context of Toyotaro's manga, it's pretty creative. However, in the series as a whole, this marks the 4th time the concept of refining Super Saiyan through either calm, energy conservation, or a combination of both has been repackaged as a new idea. The first time being in the RoSaT with Goku and Gohan, the second being GT's SS4, the third was the explanation of God Ki in the Super anime's RoF retelling. The fourth, of course, is this "mastered" SSB.Basako wrote:Mastered SSB is great, one of the best things in the arc. Luckily, it still works because these examples are relatively evenly dispersed throughout different continuities, but how long before it becomes every bit as repetitive as a new Super Saiyan transformation? Though I think it was handled well in-context, it's teetering on the edge of redundancy.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
Yeah, the concept has been used before, there's not really much more, rage or calmness. I guess Gohan and Goku did that with the SS form before the Cell games, take control of the form. The ultimate base form is somehow that too. But I think it's never been as explicit as now, visually recognisable absorbing the ki and with the temporal condition. I like it a lot, it's probably gonna do the role of the SSBKK in the manga.Jinzoningen MULE wrote: In the context of Toyotaro's manga, it's pretty creative. Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
The really off putting thing with this is that Toyotaro is gonna do the ki leaking business better than the anime, the place that emphasized that WAY more than the manga ever did.
You can disagree with me on this but when the show says "You people are fucking morons for wasting power with auras!" then your series better effing ditch them!
That's like if Grade 3 suddenly became not only viable, but an ever present factor to victory after the Cell fight definitively proved why it was a POS that you should ditch as soon as possible.

When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.
