How many "new" character slots are still available?
BT2: 129

BT2(Wii PAL/JP): 135 (129 + Piccolo Daimao, Cyborg Tao, Pilaf machine, Pilaf's Combined robot, Generic Freeza Soldier, Appule)

BT3: Known 135 + 21 (New revealed forms) = 156

161 = total number of characters given by a Japanese magazine

161-156= 5.

So, there are 5 unknown characters. BTW, if Atari's statement about how there will be 20 new characters, not counting transformations, is to be believed, none of the 5 remaining slots are transformations (because there's no more space for an extra form in the total form count of 161), they're just individual characters.

First day online, HOPEFULLY nobody will be TOO strong for me to own.
Since there are different online modes, I'll just go to normal mode instead of custom. I'll have Super Mario Galaxy just around the same time as this, so the people with just DBZ:BT3 will own any of my leveled up characters. Hopefully GT Goku will play well. If he plays any better than regular Goku did in BT2, I think I'll have a perfect winning streak.
PLAY B3YOND.

"It's over 9000!" is in.
:?

Confirmed near the end of the video.

Also, new gameplay footage:
http://www.jeuxvideo.tv/dragon-ball-z-b ... 42110.html

The guy playing really sucks. I wanted to see #13's rush move. It's the one from the movie where he hit Goku away and then ran along side him pounding on him.

ALSO!
Here's some screens from the game's intro.
I don't wanna post all the links for each screen so just go to this thread to see them all.

I agree.
Some wierdos on the Atari board actually hope the next DB series has graphics in that style for the actual gameplay!

Yuck! I'd puke.

Aw, it's not that bad, you guys. I'd still rather it were animated, too, but I think it really looks tight. I wouldn't mind playing with the characters rendered like that, either.

Better than the Sparking Neo opening.
But... I don't know why they only make CG Movies instead animation movies.
Cartoons are cheaper than CGs and prettier (i don't like the Budokais but their openings were great!).

Q: Will there be Japanese music in the game?

NB: Yes. But not songs. Would you guys like Japanese song inside?

DC: Yes we have the Japanese songs in the game but they are instrumentals only, no voice.

OMG Japanese music? Please! Why can't they just add voice? The people that like the Japanese version obviously would like the Japanese singing during the opening...if you're a dubbie, just turn it off :?

Yes. PAAANCH! I wanted the Japanese music so badly that I had to mod my own Budokai Tenkaichi 2. >.>

The term Jap is very offensive.

I've never minded the CG openings of the Tenkaichi games in general. I really didn't like the opening for Tenkaichi 2 though. It seemed so stiffly animated and lifeless to me. The scenes were rather random too (why's Cell floating next to Bebi in the world of the Kais??).
So I just hope the direction for the opening is a lot better this time.

I think it has something to with licensing issues. They'd have to pay for the royalties to Kageyama...or something like that. But yeah, Japanese BGM W00T! Now I'll happily purchase (not I wasn't going to :P).
