What are your favorite deaths?

I'll post mine in a second, for some reason my computer keeps crapping out.

The absolutely gruesome slaughter-fest that is the death of the Cell Juniors (Manga version). It could have just been around 6 seconds, but it is unforgettable.

Oh yes, definitely the time when Majin Buu does his attack to destroy the whole world's population. Just knowing that so many innocent children and people are getting slaughtered brings me so much... fulfillment... so much joy. :D

Okay, Akira Toriyama went over the top with that one. The Z fighters failed. Bad. I guess that's another thing I like about the show; the good guys don't always win, with the result of not one casualty. Oh, no. Our main character dies in the first episodes, the rest of the Z-fighters then die, then eventually the whole world's population is annihilated. Along with entire galaxies. I don't feel 'safe' watching Dragonball, because anyone could just DIE.

Vegeta when he gets killed by Freeza. His complete vulnerability and the fact that this hard ass "I'm gonna kill you because I can" kind of guy starts crying, I don't know, something about it all just sucks you in.

Honorable mention goes to Cooler the first time around. He gets blasted into the sun for crying out loud!

I can't decide between these three; Vegeta's death against Freeza, Goku's Death against Cell, and Vegeta's against Buu.

They all did a great job of making me shed a tear or two. ;)

First form Cell blasting a hole through Piccolo, that death always stuck with me as a great moment in both the dub and the sub.

Edit: On 2nd thought I'm not sure if that was a death.

Yeah, Cell Juniors in the manga. Hands down. If you don't say it then you're wrong. It's no longer a matter of opinion, it's a fact.

Gohan, Goten, Trunks and Piccolo in the Buu saga. Mostly for the internal hell on Goku and Vegeta's faces. That Goku just has to choose, and does his best, and ends up letting his kids, Vegeta's kid, and Piccolo die because he has no other choice... I liked it. Implied karma, I guess. That's what you get for saying everyone can die because the Dragonballs will fix it--your own sons die because you have to preserve Dende's life.

My favorite death is Kuririn at the end of the Tienshinhan saga. It was the first time that a major character in Dragonball died and it was really when the story lost it's inocence. It was a gripping moment when Goku for the first time sensed that there was something evil in their wake and it ended in the death of his best friend. It showed us a new side to Goku at the beginning of the next saga.

Kuririn also died three more times after that, but this one was the best to me. It gets me every time.

Picking up Dende, Mr. Satan, and Bee just to preserve the Dragon balls doesn't really make sense on Goku's part considering the balls were being destroyed with the Earth. Makes more sense to say that Dende and Mr. Satan were closer. I found the episode to show quite a bit of irony, as Goku had just held had his sons in his arms minutes before when he thought Buu was nothing, yet now he couldn't even touch them as Buu killed everything. Definitely the hardest moment of his life IMO.

My favorite death...Blue being killed by Tao via tongue. This was a guy, Blue, whom could continually get the best of Goku with his telekinetic technique and nearly killed him and Kuririn, yet he's completely dwarfed by Tao. Sets up a perfect sign of things to come for Goku. Poor Blue is French-kissed to death.

Damn I thought I was going to have a unique pick, but yeah, I'm with you on this one, before I saw it I thought Yamcha's death by kamakaze Saibaman was the best because of all the emotion involved in that scene, but yes when Goku learns Krillin was killed...that moment is just so....wow.

Umm, I think Freeza's death was very appalling to me. Laughs like an idiot, gets slashed into pieces and then gets blown up. Priceless. Saddest, I think was Master Roshi, Goku just got through everything and was going to beat King Piccolo when Master Roshi died. Ouch.

EDIT: Wow, the 666th post on death, how fitting.

Yamucha's death is my favorite if we're going for the emotional impact. But I still pick Broli's second death for coolness.

I remember reading that in Shonen Jump and was hypnotized at how jaw-droppingly brutal it was. You could see their brains flying out of their heads, eyeballs pooping out of their sockets, and all that kind of shit. Definitely goes up there as one of the most violent scenes. The anime version wasn't nearly as good.

Anyway, my favorite deaths were both of Vegeta's. very emotional scenes.

Other awesome deaths: Raditz and Goku getting killed by Piccolo. That was bloody.

The way Trunks killed Frieza was badass

Cooler getting blasted into the sun.

Buu exterminating all of the humans. The pic of the blast shooting right through that girl's chest was hilarious.

Vejita's kamikaze against Boo FTW. It was a great death scene, and very tragic hero-esque, which is something I dig. *coughGungraveCowboyBebopetccough*.

Chiaotzu's death against Nappa. I think the sacrifice he made in order to defeat (or try to defeat) Nappa was beautiful. Also his farewell speach: "Saiyonara...Ten-san".
Just great!

I've never seen the episode where Buu kills all the humans. Does anyone have a youtube clip?
