Wait Goku didn't surpassed vegito, because vegito was utterly destroying mz unlike goku who is struggling with him, what I seen, this chapter looks insaneperucho1990 wrote:Chapter looks good aside from Goku using Hakai, with that he just surpassed Vegetto, so Vegetto being surpassed was part of Toriyamas outline after all.

It definitely does the way goku is progressing right now..Overlord78 wrote:

It's a moot point arguing if you can't see that, from my years of experience these discussions don't go anywhere in situations like this..
I will be leaving it at that..

Mainly why I liked the chapter is because Goku's hakai in a way didnt do shit, yeah he got half of him but still... it failed, I'm alright with so called asspulls so long as it fails unlike certain manga's when asspulls pops out then 1hit k.o. if Goku finished it off with that Hakai I woulda been pissed as hell on par with the anime Trunks genkidama being able to actually in a way did damage to merged Zamasu that only needed to call Zeno for the fnishing touch.
This one had Goku use hakai, fail, Vegeta comes in kicks the everliving hell out of Goku and attacks Zamasu, had Trunks slice Zamasu from behind.... it was perfect (for me at least) I love how the battle went, amazing job Toyo. I'll definitely be waiting for Vol4/5!

Fair point. I'm just hoping the manga provide more context for why Goku chose now to use the Hakie-eque technique, instead of when before Merged Zamasu happened, but right now it just seem out of left field.Ki Breaker wrote:Not nonsense, he has only one shot at the technique, it's an existing technique, he could have learnt it from the days he spent training with the guy who teaches god of destructions..Lord Beerus wrote:Goku can use a Hakai type technique? Goku did not beat Vegetto.perucho1990 wrote:Chapter looks good aside from Goku using Hakai, with that he just surpassed Vegetto, so Vegetto being surpassed was part of Toriyamas outline after all.
Vegetto was not even touched by Zamasu, while Goku is having a hard fight with him, and this kind of '' Hakai '' is being used as a last resort (and he did not even manage to kill Zamasu)

2 possibilities, either it can only be done with a perfected SSJB at a 100% always or Goku doesnt want to resort to killing hence just sealing him away would be good enough but now as things are looking way too bad to control he had to use it.Lord Beerus wrote: Fair point. And plenty of other techniques existed that were exclusive to other beings and masters and they were learned too. I agree that Toyotaro shoehorning in a past demonstration of this technique that Goku & Vegeta knew about but we didn't reeks of the same BS concerning his SSBlue 100% reveal but being annoyed over the series never saying anything feels like complaining because your assumption based on.... almost nothing in-universe got contradicted.FortuneSSJ wrote:That's why I said "that seems". Beerus and Sidra can do it. Hakai comes from Hakaishin. Need to proper read the chapter first, but seems like Toyotaro's screwed up again.
Goku didn't even saw Beerus doing that in the manga, which makes it more stupid. But if you like it well, cool for you I guess.

So does that basically confirms that Beerus' Hakai can destroy even immortals?
This long ass dragged fight in the manga was bothering me a lot. I just wanted the fight to end. But I think it's nice that we get to see more of Merged Zamasu since he appeared for so little during the anime. Though I wish his personality was more like it was in the anime but oh well. And with moves that actually made some sense, the manga just seems to write whatever he wants to.
Can't wait to see the translation. And in the end Trunks does end up slicing him/them in half. No Spirit Sword though.

If Merged Zamasu didnt use kidnap Mai to save himself, Goku wouldve erased him tbh, Goku was forced to stop.
Goku has the hax to kill Vegeto but in all respects Vegetto surpasses him, its similar to the anime but just replace Goku with Trunks.

From what I understood, Goku couldn't use the technique because it takes perfect blue to do so, which he didn't get until Zamasu merged..Lord Beerus wrote:Fair point. Releasing all that energy at once he gets to do the hakai, but just because of that, he only has one chance to do so..
Vegeta notes this is Goku's only chance

So why didn't Vegetto do it if his (stupid) plan was to blow up Zamasu so hard he wouldn't be able to regen from it?SansrivaaL wrote:2 possibilities, either it can only be done with a perfected SSJB at a 100% always or Goku doesnt want to resort to killing hence just sealing him away would be good enough but now as things are looking way too bad to control he had to use it.Lord Beerus wrote: Fair point. I'm actually getting hype for the chapter?
Does anyone know which is the last page? I'm having a hard time trying to figure it. It seems like Merged defused for some reason (Hakai maybe?) but then multiple Merged Zamasu appear?

He was about to kill him in that blast (probably) but timer ran out way too fast, they probably thought they had more time. That or maybe a perfected SSJB was needed, that Goku just did a practice run on the previous chapter.Doctor. wrote: So why didn't Vegetto do it if his (stupid) plan was to blow up Zamasu so hard he wouldn't be able to regen from it?

The main reason I consider this on par with the Genki Dama Sword in the anime is for how unexpected it is. I mean, there was zero indication that Goku could do such a thing. I mean, if it's explained I'll let it pass but for now, it just seem like such a very odd narrative direction to take.Ki Breaker wrote:Frok what I understood, Goku couldn't use the technique because it takes perfect blue to do so, which he didn't get until Zamasu merged..Lord Beerus wrote:Fair point.
