I think its to do with Zamasu's immortality.Ki Breaker wrote:I don't understand this, did they stay fused even after his time is up..SansrivaaL wrote:Goku: What the hell? isnt your time up?
Zamasu: I am the one and only God! 1 God is enough! we are one!
*I'm with Goku's reaction there, that is creepy af.
How?
In the anime Zamasu became Grotesque Zamasu because the fusion destabilized the immortality granted to him by Super Shenron. Because of this, the fact that the fusion was permanent and that their fusion had a ton of other problems and potential problems, it resulted in his body become deformed.
Here, the immortality factor transferred successfully to the fusion. But because of this it seems the Dragon's magic now views the Fused Zamasu as their true state and is trying to force them to remain one entity.

Of course no-one's gonna complain about that.
I like it enough. Making the Hakai something that you can learn makes sense. It was never implied that it was a magic destroy button that only Gods of destruction can press.
I'll have to wait for the chapter to be translated but it seems like Goku can only use this in his 100% Blue form, which is a hard thing to use as is, then he has to use all the energy he has to pull off the Hakai.
I think him using the Hakai is fine as long as it's difficult to pull off and he can't spam it. Plus, it's Goku. He would never use this to win a fight unless the stakes were insanely high, like they are now.

That would really be helpful in the ToP if he finds out he can heal their stamina.FortuneSSJ wrote:It's not a "if". He already did it. He got Kaioshin's clothes, he got the Z sword, he trained to wield it, Elder Kaioshin danced around him and he meditated too.Basako wrote:

Everything we know FT Trunks did, Gohan did it to.
FT Kaioshin helped FT Trunks to get stronger in order to stop Babidi/Dabra. Kaioshin/Elder Kaioshin helped Gohan to get stronger in order to kill Buu.
None of them were trained to be a kaioshin's attendants, but to save their worlds. So yeah, Gohan must have his healing powers, he just doesn't know yet...

If it was the same ritual, Trunks would have had his power unlocked too and this wasn't the case. So it seems that the ritual Trunks had was different, he is officially an attendant for the Lord of Lords and Gohan is not, as far as we know.FortuneSSJ wrote:He already did it. And Gohan got the clothes just because Kibito thought it would be more worthy for a ningen to be in their realm. From that came the joke of him being a suspect in this arc.

Hilarious that people think the Hakai technique could help Goku beat Superman
Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
This chapter looks interesting, from what out of context bits of scattered information we have. The only thing that bothers me is that it looks like we're not getting Zamasu merging with the universe itself, which had been the most amazingly fucked up and out of left field thing the anime did in that arc. Glad to see next chapter's probably the end (or the penultimate one). I'm eager to finally give the arc a one-sitting read, and give an actual fair assessment.
I'm not particularly sure why people are so quick to compare Goku using the "hakai" move to Trunks using the Genki Dama sword. Goku at least trained under/with/around the person whose technique he pulled out of his ass. Trunks has never so much as heard Kaio's voice, as far as I can remember, and he was around during the one arc (after the Genki Dama's introduction) where it wasn't used.

As far as we know, FT Trunks didn't have to meditate like Gohan did (he only said FT Kaioshin danced around him) and that was part of Gohan's training to unlock his potential.Basako wrote: If it was the same ritual, Trunks would have had his power unlocked too and this wasn't the case. WTF this chapter is insane! I wasn't really liking it so far but with this level of nonsense it's impossible to not like.

The only ritual we saw Gohan having was to unlock his potential. Trunks didn't have that, as we know his potential has not been unlocked. I'd like if he went ultimate, by the way, but the elder died. So what Trunks had was another thing. Maybe the Lord of Lords in person has to be the one dancing around to make someone his attendant, that would make sense. As far as we know, Gohan is no attendant and he can't heal.FortuneSSJ wrote:As far as we know, FT Trunks didn't have to meditate like Gohan did (he only said FT Kaioshin danced around him) and that was part of Gohan's training to unlock his potential.Basako wrote: If it was the same ritual, Trunks would have had his power unlocked too and this wasn't the case. Hakai would be overkill beyond imagination, as Goku (or rather anyone) would just need to be stronger than Frieza to beat Superman, but those related by blood to said Galactic Emperor think Superman is invincible. Despite Superman having lost more times than Goku.Overlord78 wrote:Hilarious that people think the Hakai technique could help Goku beat Superman
