If you can show the chapter where Beerus gives Goku the Hakai energy, I'll get mad at episode 95 too.
Wait, so the anime doing it the way it already did it was fine, but if the manga also does it that way, then you'll piss and moan?

You can't make this stuff up!
I worded it wrong. What I meant to say was that I won't be mad at this chapter if you can show Beerus giving Goku the hakai energy.
But still, I hate that there are people that compare this chapter to the anime. What the anime did way have a God of Destruction give someone his destruction energy to use. With the manga Goku uses a technique specially for the God of Destruction. The only thing that is somewhat related is that someone other than God of Destruction is using hakai technique.
I ask thou, WHY MUST IT BE ME?
Your weakness is your strength.
Are you reading this? If you are, I just want to let you know that I'm a GREAT GUY.

This whole Hakai complaining business reeks of fanboy pissing and moaning over their headcannons being contradicted when nothing ever in the series or in either version of Super said or implied that these were techniques exclusive to Gods of Destruction.
When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.

This chapter looked beautiful and all but it makes no sense.
I'm having the same concerns, but we're missing information yet. Also with the image of Black with the sword in his back. We gotta see how all the pages together in the correct order work and with the translations.

There may have been an evolution in merged Zamasu. Like Cell getting the perfect form again without 18 inside him or whatever happened with the two Boos, not becoming the skinny one again after he loosed the fat one.
I already read the full chapter tho. There was no explanation given what so ever.
Reading it right now, there are some explanations. Gowasu and Shin say that it's been exactly one hour but they realize they are not defusing like Vegetto. Gowasu says then that it could be that they are both Zamasu and they may have become one in celular level. So we see half and half of Black and Zamasu, still glued somehow unable to separate completely. Then Trunks separates them with the sword and both of them cure to full bodies, not only that, they turn to their merged form separately. Which aplies again when he is broken into pieces by Vegeta.

You may not buy it, but it's not worse than Cell getting his perfect form without 18 or Boo not turning skinny Boo after he looses the fat Boo link inside him. I bought those, I can buy this too.

What a great chapter, just finished it! There is one page, I think it's 17, amazing! But most of it is high quality art. I'll make a complete review later.
Heno heno kappa!

This post is embarrassing and offensive. I thought this kind of behaviour wasn't tolerated on here.

I usually don't post that kind of stuff but I couldn't really find any other way to word it this time. It's a situation that perfectly illustrates why a lot of people loathe the DB fandom: assumptions based on nothing are treated as fact, when this "fact" gets contradicted, it's bad writing.

If Super, at any point, even remotely implied these were exclusive abilities to Gods of Destruction similar to Whis' time rewind, I'd be calling foul on this development. But there isn't anything like that in the material, people just saw Beerus do some cool shit, assumed it was a cool thing exclusive to him and are now angry because a DRAGON BALL character can copy other Dragon Ball characters techniques.

People take the hakai stuff way too literally like its been said in universe somewhere that its exclusive for God of Destructions, nothing in the manga nor the anime implied such a thing, its fans own assumption that ''Oh its called Hakai! it sounds like Hakaishin! it must be for Hakaishin's only because its so OP and cool and its literally in the name''

Goku has never seen the move in the manga. Him knowing it let alone knowing how it's done has no basis. This hypocrisy is actually hilarious. Terrible writing, shit writer.

So you're cool with criticising the anime but heavens forbid someone criticises the manga less they conjure your patronising vitriol? Yeah, no that "kind of stuff" is inexcusable. Word it right the first time or don't post it at all.

Haters will hate, nothing changes. I'm surprised you guys still bother replying to bait. It gets ugly, for you and Kanzenshuu. Just let them be, and in a few days it will die and the thread will be clear to discuss the positive and negative of the chapter.

Great looking art, some cool moments, but fucking hell is most of this shit padding. There's no reason this and last chapter couldn't just be one cohesive one. Padding it so much is not doing it any favors. They aren't exhausting all their options before calling Zeno, they are all just pulling power and techniques from nowhere, they all fail, Zamasu fucks around, repeat. It's Buu all over again.

I was ready for another chapter before the end and I was giving Toyotaro credit for stretching this, but there's no reason for half the stuff in the last three chapters.

However, what is there, while it doesn't serve the plot, is certainly very fun, so it doesn't feel like the arc is dragging. So at least it's good padding.

Also, Toyotaro's Vegeta is fucking terrible. Geez. Hope next chapter those Zamasu clones gang up on him... And bad! Time for some comeuppance.

When did I ever excuse the manga for anything? It's become a total slog of rapidly accumulating nonsense just like the anime. The Hakai thing, however, isn't one of those instances of nonsense for me because, unlike many other anime AND manga instances for Super, FUCKING NOTHING! ever even remotely implies that Hakai is a GoD exclusive technique or ability.

To think it is based on nothing besides head canon horseshit then complain when something contradicts that head canon is a tried and true problem of the DB fandom with regards to everything DB, not just Super. Hell, there are people complaining about the assassin in the anime having a GoD ball with him and tossing it at Freeza even though its established other fighters can use one another energy for attacks like how Goku gives Krillin the Genki he gathered up to try and kill Vegeta.

The series has actual facts for the animes instance for that kind of stuff being possible but because MURH HURD CANIN WUZ WR0NG! Super is bad writing incarnate for contradicting stupid fanboy headcanons.

We have barely seen Goku & Vegeta training days with Whis in the manga. You have no idea what Goku & Vegeta has seen, but we know they have seen the Hakai technique because they just said they've seen it in this chapter. This is like saying that Vegeta being a Super Saiyan in the manga is a plot-hole because we never saw his first transformation.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Or that Trunks using the Masenko is a plot hole even though he trained so long with Gohan.

Curious to know why you think his Vegeta is bad. I think his Vegeta is far superior to the boring anime version imo.

He's acting way too much like the Cell arc version. Way too competitive, at least when fighting. His calmer version only comes out when he's on the sidelines and even then he comes out very frustrated, not at the dire situation, but at being surpassed by Goku at every turn. Almost nothing he's doing is helping things get better and sometimes he even turns things worse.

The fact that Zamasu and Black don't come across as cool and at the top of the situation also doesn't make it seem like they're just playing to his worse attributes to try and get everyone in a pinch. Vegeta is just acting recklessly for the hell of it and the villains are benefiting for that.

There is good stuff in there: his speech to Black and Trunks being the one to convince him to fuse come to my mind. But even that Trunks scene only works in this mesh of Cell and Buu Vegeta that as a whole really isn't doing it for me.

What did Fused Zamasu screamed about when he powered-up against Goku? I believe it was page 25?

Cool chapter. I started reading and it was over in an instant, that's always a good sign. Not only did Goku got a new attack but Vegeta also got what it seems like a variation of the Final Flash.

Some quick thoughts:
- Goku and Fused Zamasu rushing each other is a beautiful page.
- Zamasu and Black refusing to defuse was utterly creepy, yikes!
- I hope the multiplying F.Zamasu get's explained next chapter, it feels weird.

The Zeno button is coming right up that's for sure.

After reading the whole chapter as well.
- I really enjoyed it.
- Goku HAKAI!
- Vegeta Gamma Burst FLASH! (where the hell did this variation come from? is it a certain reference to an attack?)
- Future Trunks' role actually being good without the SSJRage and genki bs pulls, he was in his league and like how I said back in the anime before ep 66 I wanted Trunks to slash Zamasu from behind or to slash a Zamasu that couldnt fight anymore, the manga handled this way better.
- The fight was brutal and bloody as hell, I really felt desperation last ditch effort vibes here.
- Amazing usage of not just Goku and Vegeta but also Trunks and Mai (as the damsel in distress)
- That Goku Hakai pose and Vegeta Gamma Burst were badass! I need a colored version of those pronto!
- The quality of the art is as always great.

Overall I loved the chapter, I cant wait to one sit read this whole arc, funny how the anime made me hate Future Trunks while the manga made me like him even more, tho sadly Black and Zamasu manga ver sucks balls with their tantrum outbursts unlike their cool calm collective anime counterparts.

It's the third variation we see. He used it first against Recoome, then against Cell and now here. It's like the technique is accompanying Vegeta's progression: Pre-SSJ, SSJ and God Tier.
When put in these terms is actually a pretty cool progression. Nobody mentioned the attack in the leaks, so I was presently surprised when I saw it.

Yeah, I love how Future Trunks has done so much without power. He still has the best moment in the manga for me (sacrificing himself so the other could escape).

Somebody should draw Fused Zamasu playing a board game with Goku and flipping the table because he's losing.
