Discussion regarding the entirety of the franchise in a general (meta) sense, including such aspects as: production, trends, merchandise, fan culture, and more.
As mentioned in a previous post of mine, here's the Pojo's Collectors Card World magazine that my old DBZ booklet came from. I've had this thing for a long time. It was a real trip to come back to it because not only does it discuss DBZ, but this particular issue also covers Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Magic The Gathering, and Sailor Moon, all when they were all still on the rise here in America really. Anyway, here are some pics of the cover and from the DBZ portion of the magazine. The magazine spends most of its time focusing on the artbox Dragonball cards (which I also own all of), but it also talks about the franchise in Japan, America, and gives a pretty good rundown of all the major characters.
Got these nice babies at Napoli Comicon last week

Part of my love for Dragon Ball is represented in this Shrine I have. In the back you back see the poster my girlfriend made me when she asked me to prom, it talks about how I'm her one wish for the Dragon balls to grand. (We asked each other at the exact same time) There is a Goku, Krillin, Piccolo, Roshi, etc. Each figure has sentimental value in someway.
Here is pretty much the rest, besides the odd Dragon Ball and plush. I also have a Goku outfit not shown here. Anyways, I have every Dragon Ball video game released state side since the PS2 era besides Legacy of Goku on (The GBA games aren't shown here because I don't remember where they are, and the PS2 ones I just didn't have room to show. I only haves cases for sagas and budokai anyways. I have only a few home releases. I am from Ecuador, and there piracy is rampit, so I own the whole series bootleg, which I'm not proud of. I am going to start getting the Blurays soon though. I have all but one of the color releases in the states, and a Dragon Ball SD manga I found in Germany. That Metal Cooler you see is my prized possession. I don't it's woth anything but I love it. And a pop just because. Also not shown is Derek Padula's books which I own a few of.

Akira Toriyama wrote:My policy is to try and forget things once they’re over. Since if I don’t discard the old and focus on what’s new, I’ll overload my brain capacity. I still haven’t lived down going, “Who the heck is Tao Pai-pai?” that one time I was talking with Ei’ichiro Oda-kun. But the fact that there are still people reading the series after all this time… All I can say is; “thank you.” Really, that’s all.

Kunzait_83 wrote:And if you're upset because all this new material completely invalidates the tabletop RPG rulebook-sized statistical system and flowchart for the characters' "canonical Power Levels" that you'd been working on painstakingly for the last bunch of years now... well I don't think there's a kind, non-blunt way of saying this, but that's 100% entirely your own misguided fault for buying so deeply into all this nonsensical garbage in the first place. And that you also have IMMENSELY skewed and comically backwards priorities in what you think is most important and needed to make a good Dragon Ball story.

I just bought my copy too, and blasted through it in one sitting.
Wish the release of volume 2 was sooner, I know the chapters can be read online but there's something about having the manga to hold.
Do you have any info about international non-English broadcasts about the Dragon Ball anime or manga translations/editions? Please message me. Researching for a future book with Dragon Ball scholar Derek Padula

Wow you must have the most complete Dragon Ball game collection from anyone! Ever thought about collecting the JAP, PAL and USA versions for each game?

I've always preferred to have hard copies of things like movies, games, books, etc. You get the feeling that you own what you're buying unlike the online copies where it's more of you renting them.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

This was such an awesome thing to see, aside from myself and one other person on here, I've never seen anybody else with DBZ 2V! Not saying nobody else owns it, but I never really see it posted.

Been rearranging stuff around, anyone else notice that US Dragon Box 5 is lighter than the other boxes? I even bought a new box to see if my eyes are playing tricks on me, nope...they are lighter. Only looks bad if you displaying the from the spine.
Does anyone have full images of the 12 Blue Z covers on the top ? those were my first introduction to DBZ so whenever I think about it that's the first set and image that comes to mind.
