Ok well if tanked ain't the right word, I'll just say took a full power hit from Goku with only his cloths getting ripped and bare minimum damage.

Agreed. I'd love to get a Pride Troopers spin off or even a special about them. Seeing all 10 of them interacting with each other would be great.

Recoome will always hold a special place in my heart. He was a fun villain with one of my favorite fights in the series. I loved when he was just trolling Vegeta by playing the part by acting like he was hurt.

To be fair, your never going to feel that because he's not a villain. He's a the strongest hero from an organisation that protects an entire universe. The Pride Troopers are like DCs Green Lanterns or Marvels Nova Core. He just happens to be the antagonist in this situation.

Edit: Also I just noticed........Jiren has not posed once....

That feels......odd given how everyone else in his team acts.

Impossible. It's more likely that Goku will power-up and improve a lot while fighting Jiren, but it doesn't necessarily mean Goku will beat him. We don't even know what kind of abilities Jiren has.

Impossible. It's more likely that Goku will power-up and improve a lot while fighting Jiren, but it doesn't necessarily mean Goku will beat him. We don't even know what kind of abilities Jiren has.

It's quite possible actually, he could be taken out by a team effort from hit and Goku as well, either way I don't feel supportive of him being the strongest guy there who they have the last fight with

Top part: I'm really hoping so.

Bottom part: I'm not sure that will happen but it could. As long as they have a good fight ill be happy.


Also FWIW to others - I loved how Goku was like "Let me go greet them" but then with Toppo hes more or less like "Yo what up lil b****." lmao

I don't, it doesn't matter to me either way. But the Ginyu force was so honestly campy it was enjoyable. Even pure evil guys like Recoome and Captain Ginyu whole heartedly got in on the act. From what we've seen of Jiren he's purposefully designed to be completely uninteresting from his personality to his visual design. Yet we're getting comparisons to the incredibly animated Ginyu force. I'm saying I'm not seeing the comparison other than a group of fighters that happen to pose on occasion.

The funny thing about this is that this is literally the EXACT same thing Goku did to the Ginyu force when he first met them. I guess it's a homage, idk?

It seems like everyone is against her in some way or the other, this much raw hatred for a character is pretty rare..

I think that's horrible. They are making her unnecessarily aggressive and uncooperative for no reason, but there series has always had that same issue with powerful female characters. If they are powerful they are automatically bratty @$$holes too... I.e. GT Pan...

This was actually my biggest fear of Super introducing females Saiyans. They would be reduced to that same DB trope of powerful women being uncooperative.

How would it not make sense? We don't know how strong she is. Every member of a particular universe doesn't have to be Godlike and ever member doesn't have to be fodder. Who's to say her race isn't weaker than humans? Who's to say she got on the team because they only had 48 hours and she was the first to respond? Who's to say she doesn't rely on techniques and trickery to get the job done?

We shouldn't say Roshi/Tien/Kuririn doing well is nonsensical because they're weak compared to the fighters we already know. To be weak or strong are meaningless labels when compared to nothing. Roshi's strong when compared to Bulma. Roshi's weak when compared to Goku. That Pride Trooper ain't Goku.

What you can say is, It may be disappointing if there are a multitude of fighters that Roshi can defeat through raw power, but you can't say it doesn't make sense for Roshi to be able to defeat someone we've never seen fight. Would it make sense for Vegeta to be able to defeat her, is so, why?
